Who has the best 1000rd 9mm deal? I have found it for $205 for 1000 from leverarms.com (CCI blazer brass)

Preferably NOT in Ontario, to save some taxes.

Thanks in advance :)

Any savings you'll get in taxes you will pay out in shipping. 1000 rounds of 9MM is going to weigh a fair bit and who likes waiting for ammo in the mail anways?

Target Sports lists 1K of AE 124Gr for $224 taxes in which is not bad but hey what do I know I started reloading. Call around to the sponsors and look for a store in Manitoba or Quebec so your shipping distances are less. Try calling Wolverine and CRAFM. Good luck,.

To me it is because that is the only pistol caliber that I own and paying 13 bucks a box of 50 at leBaron was getting tiering. One day I'll probably switch over to shooting mostly .45 so I'll change things up with my reloading setup. I can reload 1K for about $130.00 these days (a few months ago it was closer to $100 as primers are going up it seems) and I will always a) have ammo b) have ammo my gun likes c) satisfaction of pressing what I am shooting and d) its a good hobby to complement shooting.

Im paying 11 dollars a box, and at the action range at the gun club, I can burn through that in a couple of minutes. Expensive hobby :)

Where is target sports ? I wpould like to order some 9MM from them but I can't find them on the net anywhere.

I can remember when anything with Federal on it was premium stuff, sad really that you have to ask now. Damned bean counters.

There are some CCI 9mm FMJ 115 gr selling for 200 in Reliable. I don't know how they are comparing to Win. Fed or Rem. Those are the cheapest I can find in Lower Mainland BC.

fed brass is not that good for reloading but the remington stuff is really bad
winchester stuff is the best.
fad used to be really good but they lost the lake city plant to winchester.
win ammo is allso made by imi so allso another good maker of brass

There was a time when folks would just about trip themselves if it looked like you were going to leave your federal brass on the range.

The Lake City plant used to be run by Winchester, and I suspect most of the .223, 9mm, .308, and .45 brass they used came from that tooling. ATK, the parent company of Federal took over the management contract a while back.

Federal rifle brass developed a reputation for soft brass and primer pockets that would shed primers quickly. I found that some of the new Federal brass with the NT headstamp and crimped primer pockets was harder, but I still had reservations using for anything more than plinking ammo.

ATK produced bullets were damned good however. Out of the 100k or so that crossed my path, I found or heard about only 5 deformed or coreless bullets. Now if this stinking war would just wind down and my supplier could get them back in stock.....
