5 handguns you dont have and you dont want.

-Glock
-Desert Eagle
-Any large Caliber revolver
-Any pistol that's Double Action only
-Beretta 92 (Putting on my flame suit but I just find the protruding muzzle and exposed barrel just plain UGLY. Did they run outta steel making the slide?!)

My Ruger Redhawk in 44Mag is probably my favourite handgun - also quite enjoy my Ruger GP100 in .357 and S&W 686 in .357. Why the hate for large caliber revolvers?

Too be honest I don't like revolvers much at all. Wouldn't mind a Webley or something but I just personally like small pistols. Anything more powerful than a .45 and I'll just use a carbine / rifle.

If it wasn't for the whole 12(6) BS I'd honestly have a crap ton of .32, .380, and sub-compact 9mm pistols.

Interesting. I have a bunch of 9mm semis, a 617 (.22 revolver) and a .22 semi (Browning)....and they're ok but nothing beats a large cal revolver.

I've shot a S&W .500 magnum. It was fun shooting it once and crossing that off the bucket list, but I have no interest in ever getting one.

Too big, too costly, and honestly other than the wow factor of the first shot, it really seems like the most useless thing ever created, on par with the desert eagle.

Most of the guys I know that own one are trying to sell it.

Yeah, the 44Mag or 45 LC is the upper limit - big enough but not too big.

I've got a .460.... not QUITE the same thing, but it's on my never sell list. Definitely fun to shoot! And I never know when I'll need to shoot a grizzly bear hiding behind the refrigerator. In my neighbour's house.

The only reason I don't shoot it more is the expense.

I have a Ruger Redhawk in .44Mag - the perfect cross between big/heavy/impressive to shoot and still affordable enough that you can (might not get the Grizzly in my neighbour's house but will sure get the one in mine!)

I have fired quite a few at the range from fellow shooting compatriots, had some no go recommendations from trusted friends, and I have owned a fair amount over the years. Here is my list:

1) Older CZ75. Buddy has one and it looks like it was made with gardening tools. I love my Shaow though.
2) S&W X frame: Have a buddy way bigger than I say it was a horrible experience and he loves a 44 magnum.
3) Steyr M9: grip angle bother me as well as the triangle sights.
4) Sig 226: I owned one for a while and I just found it did not fit me well; I never grew to enjoy shooting it.
5) Norinco 1911: Shot them at the range and between the bad mags and the poor construction they were jamming repeatedly. By the time you dump money I to them for new mags and a polishing job you could buy better.

Beretta 92 (Putting on my flame suit but I just find the protruding muzzle and exposed barrel just plain UGLY. Did they run outta steel making the slide?!)
i disagree but they do make 92 models with barrels flushed with slides. Personally i find those ugly.

I'm not selling my 500, in any foreseeable future. Other than the very important point noted above, it is also in my goto list for the Zombie Brontosaurus and Pterodactyl apocalypse along with my 50 BMG rifle. Get 'em close and far!
