Hi, I understand this may be a newbie question but I couldn't seem to find the more detailed steps/procedures anywhere.
Yes, I already understand the RCMP definition of what is a restricted firearm (barrel length less than 470mm /18.5"), and Non-Restricted being the opposite, barrel length being at least 470mm/18.5" or greater.
So then the question is how would I go about making my current RESTRICTED CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 pistol with it's factory 7 3/8" barrel into a NON-RESTRICTED firearm?
Yes, I would need to purchase an 18.5" barrel (can i purchase this anywhere? Recommendations?)
What would I file/report to the CFO/RCMP? What are the proper steps/procedures? Are there associated costs other than my purchase of the barrel and gunsmithing costs? Is this tedious and even worth my time?
Lastly, recommending your shroud options on a 18.5" carbine/rifle length Scorpion would also be much appreciated
(HBI one I like but seems too short for an 18.5" barrel)
Thanks!
