Sometimes it takes Woman's touch......

Sorry to hear about the hunting trip, Very cold up here and snow starting to build as the last dump (about 1 1/2 inches) is still on the ground. Remember you always have a place to stay here if you do make it up this far. Congratulations on the better half's success. You taught her well.

Gongrats to them!! How did she get stabbed?? Did she fall on it? Lol

ya she slipped and fell while dragging it and one of the 4pts tines punctured about an inch into her inner thigh just above the knee. She's actually really lucky she didn't get it in a more life threatening spot with an artery or something. She's sure feelin it today but she's not one to let stuff keep her from getting life done. ;)
She's got a good story to tell of her own now and a battle scar to prove it hehehe

also found out that this was her friend's first buck LOL. Her friend grew up in a hunting family, has been hunting for years, has taken bears, but this was the first deer tag she has filled in all those years.

cool stuff :)

Count her blessings indeed! Great story and good on them for going out and gettin it done while you were busy with the damn truck lol

Too bad, heading down the road tomorrow to try to get a whitetail or an elk.

Ladies and gentlemen, the only man in BC who goes south to hunt! :p

wish I was able to join you man.... next year?

yes, I live in great hunting country but I have always had a thing for Black tails so is why I make my trips out there a priority every year. Plus it is an incredible spot being able to hunt the same GPS coordinate , sit on the same big comfy moss covered rock, for the past 18 years. Choked I didn't make it this year but at least the wife is hunting now and I am super happy about that :)

For sure buddy. Provided there is any game left, on the way out yesterday we saw a convoy straight from the lower mainland coming in. Shiny fifth wheels and brand new side by sides pulled by pavement princesses. Thats some damn expensive elk meat.

I know what you mean about blacktails, I learned to hunt on VI. I keep meaning to go to Haida Gwaii but life keeps getting in the way. \
