What to do with all the AR uppers

Well can't say Im surprised......thread went full political lunatic :)
The anger/fear/oppression is deep and very real amongst us.

That said ....for those that can read and interpret the OP actual questions.......

Physically, mechanically......specifically the devices and hardware themselves....what is feasible, possible, has anyone crafted such things already?
Im no gunsmith....my gunsmith loves that I bring him all manner of ideas for him to make reality.....keeps him in the lifestyle he is accustomed to :)

Ive actually been pondering this idea before the spectre of an AR holocaust......
As I mentioned the AR upper in design and function has plenty of merits that appeal to me....and I still prefer a conventional buttstock and its egos.
A merger of the two has great potential IMO

Lets leave the politico ranting to the many other threads in forums here...Im all in there too. :)

Here is my idea...

Buttstock and buffer tube can be used on: 1) Dlask 10/22 chassis. 2) MDT Tikka T3X chassis.
Barrel jam into garden to tie tomato plants to.
Fore Rail weld a bottom, some paint, sticks/pine cones and you have a nice Christmas ornament.

Trigger anyone know if those AR looking shotguns use AR triggers?

Air a lil thin in TO ???

Not sure if this is the right thread, any advice for cleaning cosmoline off of rifles?
Apparently hot water .. I"ve never thought mixing water and iron a good practice so I use .. wait for it .. WD40. Spray on, wipe off, rust protected without cosmoline.

For what its worth, when the confiscations-without-compensations occurred in the 1990s, there were those who offered up stripped receivers. They were told that if they did not produce the complete firearm, the police would return with a search warrant.
Lots of fun speculating, chest thumping, whatever. Accomplishes nothing.

That's interesting- I hadn't heard that one before. Any follow through on the actions from what you recall? Just even thinking about the legal aspects of getting the warrant. IIRC legally speaking owning parts of a prohibited firearm isn't against the law so I'm not sure if a judge could grant them a warrant for that.

Hopefully not but they could make it law because to confiscate our guns, they would need to pass a bill in the first place.

I think there's a special place in Hell for those who would turn in an unregistered lower... or anything else not already registered.
I was asking in reference to the 3d printer comment. If there's an amnesty for turning in unregistered lowers, you could print lowers and turn them in for compensation. If there's no amnesty, there's no upside to printing lowers in order to turn them in.

A block is too easy to pick up..cast in a concrete ball about a meter in diameter, would be a real beeyatch to move.

This is a great idea lol. But you can get 5000lb pre-cast blocks of concrete for about $50. Maybe someone with more experience with concrete can tell me, how hard would it be to bolt on an ar15 lower to it so it would be extremely difficult for the mounties to take?

Just say it's a tactical concrete block, they're gonna have to take it one way or another :)

If you just have Only a lower, bought/registered like that, or, as some have said to call in & change status as such, then that's all they would/could be looking for. I mean, keep One as a full AR, couple years of Range fun still, could it be possible//that some people have more uppers Un-attached/not associated laying around?hmm

Heat or boiling water plus rugs to wipe it out. Remaining boiling water evaporates immediately, so no rust will form on metal. Then oil it once clean. The cheapest way.

There are plenty of wealthy Liberals in Canada, and like us, the wealthy were singled out. If taxing the rich was the answer it would have been done yrs ago.

The truly rich are never affected because their lives and their wealth isn't structured like working people. I bet you didn't know that. The rich don't have salaries as such, so are little affected by income tax. Most of their wealth is sunk into some kind of Charitable Foundation which they have complete control of. Which is tax free because it's a charity. Their mansions and jet planes and expensive cars are owned by their Foundation. There is no effective difference between that person owning a yacht and that person not owning it but having complete control over it's use and enjoyment for life.

When one of these people are asked to give a 20 minute speech somewhere or have dinner with others who want to buy their influence, they simply say don't make the $80,000 check out to me, make it payable to my foundation...
