It's simply net negative politics. It's always a slow but steady loss of freedoms. Simply maintaining something for a few years while being guaranteed to lose it or something else important the next isn't viable.

How many of us had no idea WTF Scheer even was when he was elected as the party leader? He was a throw away to hold a spot for 4 years. The guy hid his American citizenship until 2 months before the election knowing full well the optics of it.

Yeah... I consulted the history books. What do we always see when we look to the past? Steady erosion of rights, things get worse, recession takes hold of everyone and eventually people snap. It's always good to forestall this as long as possible. I don't want things getting ugly... or worse. We have it bad enough in this country as it is without all hell breaking loose. If the West has to separate to ensure it's own survival? So be it. AB and SK are clearly sick and tired of being dragged down.

A lot of people think we're far better than a lot of nations but the truth is? This little wannabe dictator has already run Canada's powerhouse into the ground and scared off billions of dollars in investments, jobs, projects et. al. I've never seen it so bad. Kids out on the streets, forced to beg for food (rarely they ask for money, 95% ask specifically for food but YMMV) when they should be in school or apprenticing or starting college/university.

We really better start praying hard this b_stard doesn't get more than maybe a year in office at most. If he's allowed to rule with his rainbow colored fist any longer than that? We're gonna end up just like Venezuela and don't say it can't happen! They have huge oil reserves! Could've had plenty of tourist areas, resorts, hotels, the whole works and then some! We all know how it went. What we have to remember is how they got there. Then we must realize we're headed down the same slippery slope!

There have been plenty down South to choose from. Doubtful they go this route right now, the general public are passive, docile sheep with low intelligence as it is. They wouldn't need an event to go ahead and pass this legislation.

I just don't think they get around to it because it doesn't do any good for their own political momentum due to the context of the house and the political landscape surrounding the next two years.

It's not safe for the lot of you to keep being extremely paranoid to the point of blurring the lines between reality and delusion. Especially not with a collection of firearms.

Do staged events occur? Sure. Is every event staged? Nope. Is there something more to passing this legislation? I don't doubt it, but also am inclined to disagree with much of the ideas floating around this thread. I think Canadian politics are cheesy, i think this nation's politicians are feeble and weak, both as world leaders as well as human beings. I don't think Trudeau is any 'connected' world leader with a massive, corrupt underlying plot of assimilation with a new world order. I simply do not think he'd be valuable to any such organization should they exist due to his overt stupidity.

It was simply a political ploy to bring it up, and not that i dont believe he has full intentions on banning our rifles to appease the flock of sheep we call fellow citizens and dupe them into now thinking they are safer. I just don't think it will be happening now in his severely weakened position as there are FAR more pressing issues. I don't see them donating any time to this and instead slowly tackling other issues as a means of distracting the sheep away from this because even his handlers know it's simply a bull#### piece of legislation that would be costly to the taxpayers, exacerbate the already rocky relationship between Trudeau and the West and quite frankly is completely hollow and would do nothing to combat the issue of illegal HANDguns.

I agree with almost everything you said. People are way to docile here and completely checked out. Majority I’d say.
Staged events happened down south many times already and will be happening. The ones who know how to read between lines will recognize them. Some of us understand what’s behind all that. One staged event happened here right before our eyes yet most sheeple swallowed it as it was real. You also have to understand that our resources are at least 10 times smaller than our neighbour’s.
This is why our psyops are a bit on an amateur level. JT is not an important figure by all means he’s being used by his mentors in order to fill few “gaps”. If you follow the pattern you’ll see they want a) Climate change hoax (carbon tax + who know what else. Ban cars?) b) NZ Australia gun confiscation scenario, c) Keep everyone super busy and moneyless so no one has time to think of politics, d) Bring people from...meaning new voters.
You might say I’m being paranoid but look at the facts.

Why I personally believe it wasn’t just a political move to bring more voters is because we never had gun problems in this country. How come this topic never came up 15,20,30 years ago? I’m talking about total ban on handguns and semi autos. Why now?
Think about this...recession on a global level is here already, western provinces are thinking about separating, housing market is insane where average Canadian is not even close to being able to purchase anything unless they own something already (I’m talking about first time buyers. It basically became science fiction where years ago most Canadians could afford at least one bedroom condo) This means housing market crash, very diverse population. Don’t forget that we have many different nations who came from war torn countries. They’ve seen this already. The bottom line, when people get hungry and scared, they wanna be able to control them.

Also, don’t forget in that military and police many citizens of this country have relatives. Would you go against your own people and disarm them? It’s not that easy. That’s why they don’t want to do this by force. Mandatory buy back program is the key.
It’s all about doing it slowly and calmly. Sudden changes lead to revolution. Think about it.
