Awful imo. Makes cleaning a PITA.
Maybe drill out the blind hole where the buffer tube threads in and drill out the buffer tube and run a rod in that way?
Reminds me of cleaning my 1022, which hardly gets cleaned cause it's a PITA.
That's unfortunate, that's a deal breaker/fatal flaw for me, unless a workaround/cleaning port is developed. Crown damage is very tough to avoid if forced to clean from the muzzle. More power though to those that are ok with it, and thanks for offering the option.
Am I the only one looking for a 7.62x25 version of this?![]()
I was thinking 9x19, but that'd be fun too.
PCC variants of this will not be possible without a new barrel and bolt which fires from a locked breach. The action will not physically accept a blow back operated bolt form a 9mm AR15.
If memory serves me right, you can actually get away with a 5.56x45 bolt face for 7.62x25.
I hope they are reasonably priced without the NR tax.....
I hope they are reasonably priced without the NR tax.....
NR tax aside, there's no way I'm paying what the going rate is on the NR semi auto receivers for one that's been neutered....
If they keep the price point "reasonable" as you say, I'll consider picking one up for a SBR build but I'll never pay a grand to replace any of my semi auto builds.
Kodiak can put out a complete rifle for just over a grand so I see NO reason this receiver set can't be priced affordably. As in nowhere near a grand.
