Under $2K???.... Nahh... I guess you never heard about the new DMR mag release paddle? Combine that with the awesome DMR safety and we're now talking $2500 worth of DMR awesomeness....

Better hope they don't add a new DMR trigger and DMR flash hider and DMR pistol grip....

I'm very curious about the Westrifle involvement. I know from experience that NS is scum but I didn't think anything bad of Westrifle.

It had the makings of being a cool rifle, I don't do pre-orders and by the time they showed up in limited stores, the stories were out. When you can buy a $200 SKS that shoots regardless of whether it has been cleaned or dropped in the mud, not much use blowing $1000 on a rifle that is a crap shoot whether it works or not.

WK180-C was a fantastic project even if it really tested my patience.
Remember that we're talking about business partners are allowed to disagree and move on if the situation is non tenable.
Couples divorce all the time, good employees quit their job all the time and business partners also move on all the time.

That's far away from anything close to the point. You shouldn't have to settle for >just< an SKS. The SKS isn't .223, it's not readily accepting decent detachable magazines, and it's not readily tactical/ergonomic.

The SKS fits its own niche but it is not the be all end all.

Westrifle and Kodiak partnered up a few years back to produce the WR762 which was a Canadian version of the 858. That was released for sale in the summer of 2017.

I have no idea when the Wolverine / Kodiak agreement with the WK180 started or what relationship Westrifle had with Wolverine.
