Wk180-C UPDATE

The early wk180 was terrible. My family bought 3 of them on pre order and not gonna lie it was the biggest disappointment I've ever had. Each one back for warranty multiple times. Kodiak blaming the user and hundreds of dollars lost in shipping. I will never buy another product they make. Wolverine you guys are great. It may be a blessing ya cut ties with them.

Couldn’t agree more.

Wolverine has to have a patent or some sort of trademark on this firearm, it was basically all Wolverines work and time to design this and they contracted Kodiak for the tooling and manufacture?

Am I not correct?

Therefore, is kodiak still allowed to produce this rifle ?

Are these discontinued now? No longer in production?

Mr. W...

Here's the thing. Sometimes these things happen. It sucks, but they happen. I don't know what the back story is, but I hope everyone comes out whole.

But this is/was a great idea and a great rifle. Don't let this keep you from innovating and bringing all these great new products to market. Beyond the mountains of horse sh@t coming out of Ottawa, this is a great time to be a shooter, and it's got a lot to do with the Canadian companies going above and beyond to introduce new stuff to the market. I, and I would think a lot of other shooters, appreciate it.

Does Kodiak own the patent for the wk180c? If not Wolverine should go south and get Troy or Stag to manufacture them along with the 181's.

I'm sorry to hear this John. Your excitement for being able to provide an inexpensive Canadian rifle nearly two years ago on Slamfire radio had me interested. You've built a good gun, hopefully if you decide to do another massive undertaking like this again during retirement you find a better manufacturing partner.

It is regrettable that going forward the 180-c will be a bastard child. Mine is one of the first 175 with the 223 Wylde chamber and other than a warranty claim for a broken piston rod it has impressed both myself and my friends.

It has a special place in my safe, right beside my CZ858 and her shenanigans :)

My early 200 numbered 180c has worked well too. I quite like the thing.

Sorry for the double post.

My thoughts exactly. North Sylva gets involved and crap like this happens, re: m-10x. Try selling that rifle for 2k and now you see them for $1500 (what they should have been priced at all along). Be interesting to see what this WK price increases to.

From what I have seen the M10x isn't worth the steel is pressed out of.
You could say the same thing about NS approach to warranty and customer service. Even getting a hold of them from long past experiences.

It was totally your mags brother. That and 28% of the rifles worked so you should be thankful!:jerkit:

Now I can finally say this. I can't stand Kodiak. I wasn't going to saying anything before because Wolverine's name was on it being the W in the WK. But Kodiak is a #### company. Their customer service sucks, their attitude of "If you want something pristine then go buy a different gun." and their quality of craftsmanship is horrible. Not only that, their Vz 58 was junk. Norinco can make a better gun than Kodiak.

I have been saying this for a long time.

sorry about wolverines problem. great company FANTASTIC GUYS & SERVICE !!

now I'm on my soap box!
Everyone Bashes the Norinco AR and how crapy they are.
Let me say that I have owned several and put THOUSANDS of rounds down the pipe WITH NOT AN ISSUE !!!

Sooo, the observable Evidence here says WE cant even build a rifle as good as the "horrible Nork" ??

This is what I am seeing. How can you see it any other way ?? do we need to get china to show us how.?
