It seems that some folks are very impatient and are ready to pay more than the MSRP to get an early New Python.

I know of at least 3 that were sold for $2000 ($500 over msrp) at gun stores

and another reached $3000 so far ( after 22 bids) on GunBroker!!!!!!!! gunbroker.com/item/851531586

OK

I’ve looked at GB a couple days ago and saw that some dealers had buy it now prices in the $2000 range... Never thought that they were gonna sell.

This one just sold for $2400 gunbroker.com/item/851808386

Yeah, people that don’t care about money or need to be the first to impress their range buds. Otherwise only a fool would buy a new Python at twice the street price. When they’ll flood the market, outsell other brands and hype fades away a little we will see them selling for $1100-$1200 on GB.

Yes those used Python's are over priced anyway and are now going to plummet.

In the US, guys were thinking they needed to pay 5-6K to get their Walking Dead editions, so 2-3K is still a relative bargain, albeit shortsighted.

I pay that under $2,000 Canadian for a late 70 blue Python shooter 6 inch with box and paper.
I waited a long time to find that price, from now on I don't think any Python would be worth more than a 2500.00 can.

All Python will be affected by the new ones.

You could just buy this....

People are paying the premium for a low serial number. I'll happily wait for prices to drop, or more likely I'll get a used one. I'm buying it to shoot, not look at.

OK

The nostalgia factor + artificially created Supply and Demand. I get they're beautifully made and hand fitted, but Colt USA could save themselves from bankruptcy by selling more guns cheaper than less guns for the price of a very good AR15 on the EE. Gouging the consumer for 100 year old technology while having shoddy QC in the last decade is why lots of people stay away from Colt these days. I love the snake guns but I'm waiting for the market saturation to hit before I get one.
