Sig sauer cross bolt action rifle

Really? I would've thought that because it's a bolt action, the length wouldn't matter. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Yea the laws are strange, and their interpretation tends to be stranger. If it was designed to be 25" it wouldn't be a problem but because it can go back and forth it's kind of a grey area the RCMP say is a no go for everything I have seen.

Theres an extremely easy solution to all this and thats to put a 2 inch muzzle device on these before theyre shipped to us. Doesnt count towards barrel length but DOES count towards overall length as per our ridiculous gun laws. Problem solved.

Good call. Hopefully they do something like that for us.

Wish some of you people would read the laws, you cannot put a barrel extension or a muzzle brake on a firearm and make it legal !!

I think you're misunderstanding the point. Yes, the law says a muzzle device isn't included in barrel length. But because it's a manual action barrel length isn't the problem - It's overall length that seems like it'll be the issue, and adding the brake does add to overall length.

You may have read the law, but you definitely didnt understand it. Putting a muzzle device on this rifle would 100% make it legal and NR so long as the OVERALL LENGTH was at least 26 inches once folded. We have confusing gun laws, this surprisingly isn't one of them.

If stock is folded and with a 16 in barrel it is below overall length, so would be restricted now years ago the M1 carbine was restricted so some body started threading barrels and putting extensions on and welding them which RCMP said was ok for awhile until some higher up said it was not ok
The gun had to have a longer barrel when folded to be NR!

Last i checked restricted m1 carbines are semi automatic, putting extensions on the barrels wouldn't help at all because muzzle devices DONT COUNT TOWARDS BARREL LENGTH, only OVERALL LENGTH. So they would
be restricted regardless of their overall length, because their barrel is still under 18.5 AND semi automatic. What is so hard to understand about this.
