I've been hunting for a couple specific rifles and having no luck on EE or online. Are most people just buying state side now I'm not looking for collector grade rifles just something to have for historic value and to have fun with at the range.

let people know what you are looking for, never know what will shake out of the trees, lots of good stuff squirreled away

Swiss k31, Mas36, Arisaka type 99,K98, M1903
Also open to mosin nagant and sks but I have those already but open to maybe getting some more. I'm not looking for anything to put on a Wall because I will shoot these I will degrade the collector value because honestly nothing like firing an old rifle.

K31 pop up on the EE a lot. K98 can be hard to find good examples of same with arisaka.

I would recommend putting out a want to buy. I have been searching for an Italian carcano carbine for a while now put out a want to buy and had two rifles to look at in a few days. Some guys don’t want to post an ad unless they know they have an interested party if they aren’t motivated to sell

Yah but for 600 plusbid rather invest in a ar for 3 gun. Like I said I'm more looking for beat ones that I can refurb a little instead of buying something and running hundreds of rounds through it and destroying the value

check this dealers on regular bases they are usually best for surplus plus do gun shows.

Tradex, Corwin-Arms, Lever Arms, Great North gun, PS Militaria and Collector Source

So you are looking for some rare milsurps in junk condition for cheap? I don’t want to sound rude but I think you are chasing a unicorn. Even junk K98 go for $600

You dont seem rude at all no I'm not chasing a unicorn I'm just going on the facts of A it's a milsurp b hundreds of thousands were made. 600 for a rifle that has basically no use other than collecting and range practice I cant justify some of those prices u literally can find k98 on gunbroker for 230-300 USD

I would suggest getting M48 Yugo Mauser instead of K98 if you are looking for price, used you can find in very good condition from $450 to $550 no problem. Similar situation with K31 you are better off buying K11 for $500-$550 still plenty to choose

For every rifle imported in Canada, there were at least several thousand or more imported into the USA. Supply is getting very low in Canada and very little new imports are getting in now.

Yah thisnisntrue I had emailed marstar and trade ex about this cause even like 2 years ago there was stuff still coming in now it's a ghost town ever russian sks are drying up which is sad. I have a soft spot for milsurps yes a rem700 is probably a way better rifle but there just isnt any fun aspect to them they dont have quirks scratches dings and dents.

For a survey of the problem also search collections in the search bar. Some guys here have like 20 K98, or 20 carcano. Until those guys pass away or decide they are too old to keep collecting that takes a big chunk of rifles off the market.

Yeah and that's why I only want shooter and not pristine collectors cause someone other than me would probably appreciate that more. I hear you though I mean good for them though just sucks that canada doesnt have more supply

I feel your pain. Has taken me 8 months to find a carcano carbine I was satisfied with price wise and quality wise
