Go big tactical sells those brands and should have some models in stock,

I would avoid Curtis Customs like the plague. Lot's of issues, and the quality is not top tier, but you are paying top tier prices for them.
Area 419 doesn't make actions, but they make some great components. I believe GBT sells Area 419 barreled actions, which would be made with top quality actions (excluding what was discussed above), which certainly would be a decent option if they have what the OP wants.
Other high end actions would be Impact, LP Fuzion, American Rifle Company (Archimedes, Mausingfield, etc), Kelbly, Surgeon, etc. - these would be peers to the Bighorn and Defiance actions. Other great action manufacturers as well for other disciplines that aren't as "field oriented", depends on what you want to do with your rifle.

Hirsch precision has a lot barnard stuff in stock but not much else. Great guys to deal with though, and if you like barnard actions they have lots.
Insite, according to their website only has just a few surgon actions in stock nothing else. Unless they have a bunch of stuff not listed on there website.
Go big tactical dosent seem to have much in stock either.
Seems like everyone always says they have tons of stuff in stock and lots more on the way. But they usually dont have much at all.
Than they tell you they have an order on the way and can get what you want if you let them know rite away and give a deposit. 3-4 weeks away at the most they always say. Than it dosent show up for 4 months and in reality they never did have an order on the way they where just trying to get your deposit before you found somewhere else that had what you where looking for. They always new it was 4 months away.

That has not been my experience with Insite Arms. I'm sure if they don't have the Defiance action you are looking for they can get it pretty quick.
I think you would be surprised what they have in the shop ready to go for a build. Give 'em a call.
It seems Insite's website isn't up to date but I can say from experience they keep large selection in stock. I just always talk to Harley direct. He typically finishes a build for me in less than 2 weeks. They are building rifles for 2 of my friends 1 was turned around in about a week the other shouldn't be far behind.
Last time I talked to Harley he showed me large shipments of barrels, stocks, chassis, and actions and they seem to get shipments regularly
I recommend giving them a call

FYI i was not refering to insite when i mentioned dealers that claim they have stuff coming when they actually dont.

we don't list a lot on line as we don't sell many actions retail as we use close to 300 actions a year for builds
We have action orders showing up every 4 to 6 weeks and when we sell retail we can barely make it to the next shipment so we generally stay away from retail on them so we can supply our customers builds and keep our turn around to the 3 to 5 week max mark with most typically being 2 to 3 weeks.

Okay, sounds like your not to intrested in selling just an action than?
Just curious, if selling a product to make money is the goal of most buisnesses. And you are selling out of actions before the next order arives. Whats the reasoning for not just ordering twice as many actions if you can sell them as fast as you can get them anyways?
