Short range thumper suggestions.

I think were all gonna regret not picking up a few cheap $225-275 9.3x57's from tradex in a couple years from now, (assuming you guys haven't bought some yet) its basically a 358w in a mauser action and cheap.

Yep. I took my own advice and picked one up - too good of a deal to pass up. Got one that was ready for a scope, so no collector value - but more practical for how I hunt.

Dad wasn't a handloader. He was pretty frugal, thus his interest for surplus rifles.

I'm pretty sure he didn't buy more than 1/2 dozen boxes on factory rifle ammo in his life.

Me Dad was a frugal fellow as well, which sunk into me early on in my gun hobby. I took up handloading & boolit casting with me first centerfire rifle (.303 LE sporter) in order to save money so as to get as much shootin' time in as possible. Lots of fun & fridge fillin' over the years at fair reasonable cost fer me at least. ;)

I looked at those yesterday and tried to buy them after work today, but you beat me to it. :(

Well, they've arrived, four bags of 50 so that should keep me in business using my short range thumper in;) '.366 Wagner' for as long as I should have to worry about. They seemed to be getting harder to obtain as of late so I thought I'd best stock up while the getting was good.

Found a nice deal on some 9.3 bullets elsewhere. Good stash to get started.

1. 300- 285 PRVI Bullets
2. 69- 286 Nosler Partitions, one sealed box and 1 with 19 in it.
3. 50- Nosler Accubond seconds
4. Just a handful of assorted Barnes TSX.

:)Good news Paul. :cool:Glad to hear it. Back a few posts, I made mention of the bullet variations and weights I had;) 'accumulated' with the thoughts of having to do considerable testing, searching for an accurate load. And again, with the first test results using the 285gr prvi, no need:).

for left handed for sure. not sure about the orange recoil pad.

Where is your class?
