Red Rock Arms .223 FAL?

That won't happen, there isn't a lot of reasoning because the process is from time to time completely screwed up by politics. The RCMP guys went by the rules for years, then the OIC prohibitions came in, so now the RCMP has to tell you that the Dragunov is an AK variant. They have to do this with a straight face, even though they know that there is no way in hell a Dragunov is an AK variant. They aren't dumb, they know if they spell out a process for this they'll be forced to defend the prohibited classifications in court - they don't want to defend the prohib classifications in court, because they could easily lose.

I saved this to my computer because it's perfect and amazing.

Hell...i'm moving so I'll buyone and try to register it...if it gets in one of you guys can buy it from me andif not I'll just keep it in the US...sound like a plan?

I'd give the manufacturer a call and get them to play ball so the info they submit to the RCMP will help.

+1. We should inform them that there is a potential market up here if they comply, submitting one demo to the RCMP is the ticket of admission.

I'd be all over this if it it was available in Canada...

Someone should definately contact the manufacturer. I would volunteer but I'm still kind of a noob.

In the information sectin they mention that the receiver is different and not a copy of the .308 receiver. Apparently it's an aluminum alloy rather than steel and involves several modifications due to the different metal. "Most of those features are the subject of a patent filing".

So who know maybe it will be a go.
