As you guy know there is two new babies to the market

The Sterling SAI-102 from The Shooting Edge

The Matrix aerospace rifle from IRunGuns

There is already four options on the market
BCL-102
Stag-10
Troy-102
ATRS Modern hunter

Based on the current version of each rifle ( not counting previous QA problem from previous version)

Which one do you think I should get?

^ Hey! I had the exact same preponderance this weekend. Thought TROY make an NR as well, and of course the tried-n-true XCR-M.

I'm avoiding any rifle that is based on the "102"
I've never heard of sterling or matrix until recently. Doesn't mean they aren't good they are just an unknown.
I'll stick with Stag all day long.
I built my own off a receiver set with parts and components from various manufacturers. This was my first AR type build. Not one single bit of "fitting" required, no dicking around, absolutely zero complaints and it has functioned perfectly since the first trigger squeeze despite being assembled from parts from various manufacturers

I am having a ball with my Tavor 7.

Would not have tought to be so good and such a huge fun factor.
I dont do that often of shooting on rocks or piece of wood. Gosh i am doing it with the Tavor 7. YMMV

Everyone keeps telling me the stag-10. Though I was thinking about the BCL 102 mk7 the newest one they have. But the stag does have the reputation to back it up and it's kind of fun to build your own.

Yeah this is a contender like the xcr but im not fan of plastic gun and I like the style of ar-10/ar-15

Your also forgetting about Alberta tactical Rifle supply's Modern hunter. Might not be an AR-10 exactly but it's close enough and Canadian.

Indeed also forgot about this one. Adding to list

I want one so bad but the price is keeping me away. Which is why I was thinking the BCL 102 mk7 because the other ones were made in Canada I thought maybe they were as well. But at this time I'm leaning towards the Stag-10, the large sticky on building them on here kind of makes that an easier decision.

Yeah 3000$ + is too much for me. The stag-10 seem the best bang for buck, but the two new guns in town might drive other price down, because there is a lot of competition now.

I might wait for some reviews about the SAI-102 and Matric before taking a plunge.

Check out FNAR. Build quality and accuracy are amazing. FN guarantees 1moa out the box. Surprised these aren't more popular. Reasonably priced too.

I've done 2 Stag 10 builds and everything went together with zero issues. Based on my experience with the Stag 10 receivers I have zero reason to consider one of the various 102 based rifles or receiver sets if I ever decide to build another.

Only ones I've seen are the blue competition models for around 2000. If I'm not mistaken they don't take the 10rd pistol mags most AR platforms will be able to use as well.

My experience thus far is that the Sterling Arms Int'l 102 requires some minor fitting of certain parts (Buffer Retainer, Charging Handle), suggesting that it is best left to "Advanced Builders" with a few ARs already to their credit. That said, the Sterling is one of the few options offering a Slick-Side Upper Receiver without the useless Forward Assist. It also has no logos or writing on the Mag Well, resulting in a very "clean" aesthetic look. Like everything, there are Pros and Cons to the Sterling Arms Receiver set.
