This shows the signs of being serious and disruptive to a degree, putting strain on medical and food supplies and everyone should plan accordingly to that level of risk. It means in the event curfew or quarantine is put in place that you dont run out of toilet paper. It means so that if you do get sick with mild symptoms that you can stay home and take care of yourself rather than go out and buy food and cough syrup then infect more people.

This is basically the way I see it. It's a danger, but it's not mutating quickly or anything like that. It comes across as a serious form of flu...not Spanish flu, but serious. I'm not a prepper, but I can survive for a couple months on the food we keep as a matter of course. Water and other consumables as well. It's high risk for people with compromised immune systems, and limited risk to mostly healthy people. But there is risk for everyone. The biggest risk is employee absenteeism, which will cause shortages in many ways. Too much spread around here, and we can hole up for a month or two and assess the situation.

Even some people that have paid sick days still come to work..
Some places you can carry your sick days forward then get paid out when you leave or retire.. If you don't give a rats about all your co workers
One guy was saving up his 90 sick days? Then he got laid off and lost them all..what a tool...
And others have 6 use them or loose them then 66% after that up to 120 short term days then long term if under 65 years

With everyone playing (plastic covered) armchair quarterback to God, instead of death rates of the infirm and victims of a health care system where people eat dung....perhaps more information on vaccine progress would help cheer up everyone's day.

How are the Israelis doing? I had some hope riding on the Iranians, but it turns out they all cough on one another and are too busy sourcing new SAM systems.

And that system managed to provide about a 1:1 staff to patient ratio, with proper equipment and facilities. Blind untested belief that you'll do better has little to do with reality.

Never did, could Imagine though. As bad if the Psych Meds & Gov Approved Heroine gets cut off I guess. It would def. be a different 'kind' of Pandemic' at that point. I quit smoking 'Cold Turkey' years ago, wasn't that hard. I make my own booze, these 5M should look into that ;)
