Is This The New nOrMaL?...

Whilst I'm eagerly awaiting my slick side set from ATRS, I've been observing here that quite a few of you are using Brownells BCG's etc. I placed and order with them and what follows is my recent experience, which I find to be quite shocking, since I've made purchases from them before without any issues...

Have any of you experienced anything similar?

My order is on hold since I placed it on 18th without any explanation, updates, etc.

Why?

Thank you for considering Brownells, Inc. for your firearms needs.

The order you have placed with us requires an export license issued by the Dept. of State. An export license is required if the order contains a regulated item.

Regulated items must have an export license regardless of their value or quantities. Regulated items are: barrels, barrel liners, bolt carrier groups, actions, receivers, frames, cylinders, flash hiders/suppressors. Also brass/bullets.

Also our Dept. of State requires an export license if the collective value of the gun component parts are $500.00 or more.

Since your order meets one or both of the criteria, we must hold your order awaiting the receipt of your supporting documents.

To apply for an export license we need:

1. Signed/dated purchase order
2. Import certificate, contact your Minister of Foreign Affairs for this document at 613-996-2387

The export license application fee is now a flat rate of $250.00 regardless of the dollar value or quantities.

Please post your supporting documents to:

If I understand you correctly, I need to do the following:

1. Complete and return the attached End User Statement form
2. Complete and return the attached Brownells Purchase Order form
3. Obtain and provide to you a Canadian Import Certificate issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs
4. Pay $250.00 US funds for an Export License

All that and I still haven’t a clue what you intend to charge for shipping for an order of an AR15 BCG and trigger group totaling a little more than $100 ???

Is that correct?

Thanks for asking, yes you are correct on the information below. The estimated shipping for your order would be around $20.00.

Please let us know if you would like to proceed.

Thanks,

A buddy of mine from Canmore stopped by and we assembled this:

A few of the main components:
Faxon 18.6 Gunner
A5 Buffer system
Coda Evolution Carbon Fiber HG
SLR Adjustable Gas Block
Brownells LW BCG
Timney CE
Surefire DF
Larue Mount
NF 2.5-10x32
Leupold DPP on 45deg mount
Raptor LT CH

He is planning to rattle can it after function test

Have to give credit to The folks at ATRS, the fit and finish on the set is perfect. Zero upper and lower play. All the pins and LPK parts fit perfect. Mags are easy to seat and drop free. They defiantly got it right.

So my buddy from Canmore stopped by again with his new MS build, he had a chance to run ~400 rds through it with 100% function. However he was getting a little board with the appearance of the rifle so we broke out the rattle cans...

And here it is with his 3gun rifle which is another MS build.
