10mm

Once this whole COVID-19 issue is done I’m hoping to get a P220 Legion in 10mm. I had a P226 Legion that I really liked but sold to get an original unfired West German P226. I’ve got no regrets about the sale but I’m looking for a 10mm companion to my Bren Ten that I can shoot more often.

The P220 Legion in 10mm is a really nice pistol! Hard to find a holster for because of the extended barrel and slide it has compared to a regular p220 but I was able to get a custom one made for a p226X5 and it fit it perfect

I want a BIG 10 Too ! But not a real expensive one - say maybe $750.00 ? Whats the BEST Bang for the Buck ! RJ

Used Glock 20 is your best bet. If it is a Gen 3, look for the SF version (small frame). That should be fine. Even the regular frame is not too bad. If it is a Gen 4, it is already a small frame without added backstraps.

Ok so if i BUY a G20 Gen 4 it will be a small frame for sure - Thanks for the info ! Cheers RJ

Yes the Gen 4 with no backstrap is the same as a Gen 3 SF. The Glock 40 is nice too of course but you are much more likely to find a Glock 20 in your range. I've seen Gen 3 SFs go for $600

No thanks. Not even interested in shooting that derringer for thrills.

I think my mind is made up, I probably need to find a Delta to replace the one I had before. Appreciate all the suggestions though! Really prefer blued but might go for stainless, depending on what's available when shopping time comes around.

This was the one I had before, wish I had kept it.

I just got a 1006 haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it's impressive. Might do a spring kit in it we will see once I shoot it some

My first 10mm pick is the Glock 20 Gen 4. It's solid, reliable and shoots everything I feed it. After the Glock I decided to try a 1911 in 10mm and got a Kimber TLE II. What a disappointment! It is super fussy on what it will feed and whether or not it is going to eject the empty brass, plus getting the slide to lock back on empty mags is inconsistent. My G20 shoots everything. The Kimber is a temperamental beast at best, and the customer service was oxymoronic. For the price, a 1 year warranty is pretty underwhelming. Luckily I managed to obtain a Springfield TRP Operator which managed to prove that not all 1911's chambered for 10mm are the same marginally functional garbage. After the TRP I picked up a Sig Sauer Tacops in 10mm, plus after over a year of waiting, a Sig Sauer P220 Legion in 10mm. Every one of the 10mm's, except the Kimber, functions with all ammo types and has not given me any reason to mistrust them in competition. The Kimber I would not depend on. A few other models that I have considered include Remington Longslide Hunter 10mm with a 6" barrel, the Sig Sauer P220 SAO Hunter, an EAA Witness polymer frame, and finally, the new Springfield XDM 10mm. Good luck and hope this helps.

I have a Colt Delta Elite, Glock 20C and a Springfied XDM in 10mm. My favourite is now the Springfield!

After checking both models out at Shot Show last year I opted for the longer 5.25 slide as I find it is better balanced than the 4.5" . Fit & finish is excellent, shoots / cylces incredibly well with all types of factory / reloads (including the hotter end loads), fully supported barrel, decent short reset trigger, good sights and is infinately more comfortable in the hand than my Glock.

Price is also very reasonable.
