How long till we see wide spread Sustenance hunting ?

I'd like to have a couple of them trouts joe-nwt caught sizziling in the ole frying pan right about now, with a mug 'o tea and a loaf of freshly baked homemade bread. Ahh, a fine ole scoff.

I don’t know about widespread sustenance hunting but what about widespread trespassing? Last week I had several individuals show up on one of my trail cams which is quite unusual. None of them looked like they were hunting, I think they were just out for a walkabout...with lots of people being stuck at home and local parks, gyms, trails, etc all closed there are fewer places for people to go for recreation. If this quarantine thing keeps up, it will likely only get worse. Something to keep in mind for us spring turkey hunters in SW Ontario...city folk may be out for a stroll in the woods oblivious to the fact that there are hunters out there.

Considering the 50+ public properties between Brantford and Long Point are now closed, you can count on a large increase in trespassing this year. What gets me is turkey opens in 2 weeks and there is still no signage at these properties notifying people of the closure. The only reason I know is I was curious and checked online.

Will they post signs before turkey opens or wait for opening day and have a hayday handing out tickets to everyone for trespassing?

If no signage is posted, would ignorance be a suitable defense? Yesterday alone I saw 3 vehicles at these closed properties.

In B.C. our armed conservation officers have been sent to provincial entry points and asking nicely if incoming people will self isolate for 2 weeks..
Start hunting any time guys??
Won't be any CO's in the bush??
Would'nt that be something military could do???

I talked to 2 CO's today.... at about 9 am this morning near 100 mile house , when they cruised up to me on their snowmobiles checking licenses and bag limits.

This is the Govt of BC saying they are tired of the daily arrivals of flights from China and the lack of controls at the US Border. In other words the Feds aren't doing their job.

Seeing as there’s only 2 CO’s in the region the chance of running into them are pretty darn slim to begin with, last season I didn’t even see the normal roadside check that they do with the rcmp. Hell when you call and do want them to come out and look into something they don’t care to show up.

Totally different. Keep looking.

What's totally different? I stated that one of the Common Cold coronaviruses specifically OC43 was believed to have jumped from cattle to humans in the 1890's. You don't want to believe Nature or the CDC?

Every virus was novel at one time. My prediction is the current coronavirus will be considered to be a Common Cold in a few years. This is assuming it is even novel right now, there are likely a great many unidentified viruses, not like they test every person who gets a sore throat. Webmd estimates 20-30% of Colds are caused by unknown viruses.

Since this health crisis filling my freezer really hasn't changed at all. Huterite chickens come cheap and supersized. Ham bones for split pea soup really goes far and it freezes really well. Almost enhances the soup flavors. Rabbit hunting is another constant.
I should deer hunt but as a bachelor I get this guilty feeling. Better with rabbits for me. I wish I had more grouse though.
If I lived in Saskatchewan I would fish too.

The true masters realize that human population reduction will at some point in the future, be necessary.

They want to be in control of the process and of course, to profit from it, as always.

Others of course still haven't figured it out. WTF :(
