With the weather turning around I’m finally able to start wringing out the Ruger 1S and man I think I’m going to be liking this round.
Those big cases slide though the die like a knife through butter and compared to the 375 H&H the 1S is lighter and better balanced than a 1H 375.
Loading 55 grains of RL 15 behind 286 grain Lapua Mega in Hornady brass.
Recoil is far less than I imagined it might have been. More like a push than a punch.
Grouping about 2 inches at 100 yards with a 4 power Leupold which is likely more about my lack of talent than the rifle.
My first ever 9.3 but I just wish I’d started sooner.
Anyone else a fan of the old rimmed veteran?
