the pre b Sights ... are staked in .... think like a 1911 gi ....
no dovetail or slot from the front
Only option is to machine the front of the slide .... and will a rear sight fit with out machining the back of the slide
But who ? .... who makes a sight set that will work ?
Might as well mill it for regular CZ75B sights.
Might as well get a new gun. The cost of milling, refinishing, & new sight installation would be a solid percentage of a Shadowline. Would have the additional benefit of not, in my mind, ruining a nice Pre-B.

Amen. I didn’t want to say it because it’s the OP’s gun and he can do what he wants to it, but OP, please don’t ruin a Pre B.
Sure. Trade me even for a Shadow 1 and my pre B is yours. (Shadow 2 grip is too wide for me.)
Why keep a gun with lousy sights merely to appease some traditionalists?
Ballpark, unconfirmed prices...
$170-200 Frame and slide refinish from Notch & Post Custom
$150 MPL luminova sights
$100 installation
________
$450 = ~ half the price of a new Shadow 1.
If any purists want to trade, PM me.
Then say you go to sell it one day after you do all this. Nobody is going to pay $1000+ for a modified Pre B.
I’d offer to trade but I have a Pre B 75, buying a Pre B 85, and have a Shadow 1. Don’t need another Pre B and don’t want to get rid of the Shadow at the moment.
I don’t really care if you hack up your CZ. I was merely suggesting that some place a premium on nice pre-B’s and selling to buy a new gun that fits your requirements may be cheaper and easier.
Since you seem set on modifying the gun you have, I personally would go with something similar to Ameriglo Bolds or a Novak Mega dot. For non-precision applications I find a large orange front post easiest to acquire, and perhaps because most of my shooting has been ISSF disciplines I much prefer a squared rear sight notch.
I think the XS big dot would be an excellent front, but don’t like the rear sight. I’ve always had trouble with Straight 8 style sights.
Nor is anybody gonna pay $1,000 for a well-shot unmodified Pre B.
On a pre-B the front sight tenon also retains the barrel bushing. You can mill a standard Novak cut in the front and rear but you will have to figure out how to retain the bushing. The guy that I know who discovered this the hard way used loctite bushing adhesive (imagine that!!) and all has been well for thousands of rounds.
On a 75B and any variant with the longitudinal front sight dovetail, I believe the cross pin that retains the sight also retains the bushing.
No they usually go for $600ish. Doing $400 of work to it would add zero value if it’s sold.
Having owned it for 25 years, only my estate executor will care about selling.
And you just realized you don’t like the sights now? lol
