Question, if you feel measuring the choke tube recess is the way to define barrel bore, then by the exact same logic the calibre of a rifle barrel is defined by the size of the target crown. No?

Thanks for your reply. This is all really confusing to me because I stopped shooting for a while and I'm still pretty young. I'm just getting back into everything now and was going to get my best friend and also my girlfriend their PALs when the pandemic is over... What can I do to help stop all this crap? This is good news I do not know where to find FRT tables, but this should help even if technically by some interpretation they may be prohibited-the FRT should trump that.

No. It would be more accurate to assume that removable components of the barrel are not additive to barrel bore or length. This would be in line with how the law does not consider muzzle devices as having any bearing on whether a rifles barrel length falls into R or NR classification.

It all depends in the definition of "bore" and Mr. Burlow explained very well that bore is the largest internal diameter of the barrel tube that the projectile travels. Damn I just got rid of my prohibited shotty. But now it makes sence why the NS shooters shotgun was on prhub list. I've hear witnesses stated he only used a shotty and handguns. I thought B-Liar was reffering to a patrol carbine when he said the shooter used weapons in prohibited list. I guess now we know what he meant.

Your either didn't/couldn't read the release and don't want to/ lack the ability to critically think. They didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident to ban choke shotties but what it does demonstrate is the shear ineptitude of those writing the ban. It clearly demonstrates that at no point did they "meaningfully consult with experts".
