As for the S&W product, sure quality is plainly visible, materials used are higher quality
In terms of fairness, suggest please take into perspective my entire post prior to just marking a few words/or single statement in there for comment.
Never indicated anywhere that cost would be expected to remain consistent at the presently available price point.
P.S. Apology, BB. Did not intend to deflect your original thread into a different channel/product. I shall stop right here

Now the made in Belguim stuff! I am not overly impressed by the "guild" stuff (interesting wall hangers) and even the Belgium made Brownings. I have owned quite a few. Still own a grade II B. made .22 auto that I have had for over 45 years, and my father had a superposed trap gun and the first good shot gun that I ever bought for myself was superposed. I have owned a couple. I am still a Browning fan, But I like the Japan stuff better. In my opinion, other than snob appeal, every citori I had and have was and is better than, those made in B. superposed, and it is just sentiment that I prefer my .22 to one made in Japan. I have never seen even one b made SXS, and I have seen a few, that I would have taken over a Browning japan made 20 SXS, or 20 SKB.
