SO they banned your ###X 7.62x39 rifle... so screw it lets go full tactical SKS

If the surplus SKSs eventually run out, and the existing ones wear out, would it be feasible for a Canadian manufacturer to make new ones from scratch, either using wood or polymer furniture?
 
I actually like the Tapco and don't mind the duck bills. Modify the bolt so you can change mags on a closed bolt. Yeah it's no AR, but it works pretty good.

Canadian made VZs were... $1500 each? And that was a few years ago? I would expect an SKS to cost a similar price?

For me, it's magwedge rail w/ red dot and a magazine adapter I haven't even installed yet...
 
Sadly the sks is going to be next on the chopping block.
It's why stores like Cabela's have sent them all back to mfg and no longer offer them

The Chinese, Russian and various com bloc states are buying back their 70 year old rifles? Please tell me this was a joke and you don’t believe that?
