Slickest mod I’ve ever seen. Functional. Tasteful.

What’s she weigh now?

I would cut the barrel down to 18.5 inches but that’s just me. Not sure how that would affect the cycling.

I wouldn't advertise on a cop heavy website...

One thing I learned years ago; don't think your opposition is stupid. The RCMP management group involved with firearm registration know more about what guns are in Canada and their characteristics than any here. Politically this issue is based solely on emotions and has nothing to do with the types of guns and how they work. IF the SKS is up for consideration to ban or not will not be governed by anything said here.

Personally I plan to vote for the Conservatives and plan to have my banned guns in action within weeks after the next election.

I just got my letter fro the RCMP. What was significant in the letter was the word WAIT where it is found in the explanation of options available. There is no logic or reason for Trudeau's action other than to get a few more votes out of Toronto and Montreal. The OIC will be dead faster than the Covid19 virus and come sooner than a vaccine for the latter.

My two SKS

The tacticool one is the no longer in production SKS-15 Scorpio from Kodiak Defence. It is built around a Russian SKS with some modifications to the receiver. It takes XCR-L pistol magazines, is fun to shoot, is heavy, and is a pain in the butt to take down for cleaning.

Anyone have photos of the inside of the sks-15 chassis? I was thinking of looking into the options for designing a chassis for a dream project

Has anyone tried Pearce Armoury's ILS chassis? Does $500 seem reasonable given its made of polymer , but includes a pistol grip and stock in the package? Not sure if it requires permanent alterations, but it might work for someone who has an SKS that looks like garbage already, especially if you have a donor AR trigger and XCR Pistol mags lying around already.

Dear God, what an abomination.

Thankfully the only mods I've done on any of my SKS's thus far have been 'cosmetic'. I had an original front sight block on the way from Russia to restore my D model (since lost in a tragic boating accident). At least with the aftermarket stock like Crapco/Archangel, you can always keep the wood and swap back when you sell.

I think the only 'bubba' I'd truly consider is a nice park job. An SKS that won't rust easily sounds appealing.

I wouldn't pay $100 for that thing. Have a look at the last photo: it appears to be 3D printed and the surface isn't even cleaned up from the process.

Tyler may I be the first of many of our members to express out condolences to the loss of your D SKS. With summer comes a rash of boating accidents. I trust you and your family survived the accident. You know your SKS is just things, it is family that gets you through your loss.

SKS-Scorpio is my first choice. I keep passing them up everytime I see one for sale and pissed afterwards

yup I can see that. Strange things happen in the Land of the Midnight Sun. I read somewhere that a CX4 Storm would float so I tried it. The damn thing sank! Who knew? She now is the Lady of the Lake.
