I have been following this thread since the start.. the more I get to thinking about this, the more my ass is starting to hurt from sitting on the fence.

I am Loving the idea of harvesting all of the quality bits & pieces from my 1 year old BCM M4 and placing them on a non-restricted upper and lower and taking it out into the range or field (even its turns out to be non-restricted for a short while)

JR... re-assure me that my all BCM's parts will work and I may have to dip into line of credit on my coffee break in the morning !

In my best "Team America" voice.... "I will not die".... oh I mean "your BCM parts will fit".... ;-)

JR

I would love one, but. I guess I just don't get $800+ for just 2 pieces & the pins. {are they stripped or complete lowers?} Guess I'm cheap or brain dead to the matter. Oh well. Sucks 4 me ..Cheerz ~

Pretty much what a low volume billet set of anything costs.

Exactly - everyone complaining about the price needs to look at what AR15 billet sets go for, to realize that this set falls within that range.

Unless one of the big boys like Aero or Anderson came into the market with a high volume (10k+ units) production run of forged reciever sets, there's no chance you're going to see $400 price points.

New licensed person here.
Missed out on the AR-15's, couldn't wait a year for the MS, didn't want to spend $3000 on a readily available MS.
So this was perfect for me. A "last chance" for anyone who wants this platform, even if its just a paperweight.

Now the dilemma... do you order all the parts now and hope you get the receivers, or order them all when you get the receivers and hope you can still get the parts?

if you really have 100's of these being finished as you said,,and dont expect to sell many,,why not throw down a great sale price so 100's of members can take them off your hands and help you throw Turdo the middle finger, since he knows full well.these thing will NEVER see the inside of a police impound locker,LOL.$499.00 sounds nice,i'll take the credit card out while you think about it,,:)

Probably cause this exercise was done to set a price precedent for the expected goverment bye back!

So with this I can basically just strip my AR of parts and reinstall everything to this? I read that the lower can be built using a standard LPK but what about the upper? Will my BCG, ch and barrel/gas system be able to be harvested as well? I'm new to the new wave is AR type non restricted rifles and not sure how it all works, but I would consider this a good option.

You should have offered uppers separately as well. I'm sure there are a few here that would have wanted to add multiple uppers to their order.
