Swiss Arms - New Canadian Importer!

Damn! Now I'm really regretting selling my CQB.:(
Has anyone actually spoken with a sales rep or "higher up" from R. Nichols to see exactly how they plan on handling Swiss Arms sales?
For instance, will they be supplying local shops as TSE did?

I dunno...but I think we can all safely assume R. Nichols sorry excuse for "service" is going to be a far cry from what JR & Redleg gave us on behalf of The Shooting Edge.

I'm wondering what impact a massive E-mail/Fax/Letter writing campaign might have on SAN protesting their idiotic corporate decision to end their relationship with a known and extremely well liked distributor, to one which is extremely hostile to civilian sales and provides sub-par customer service when/if they decide to get off their pedestal???

this is most unfortunate for TSE. The behind the scenes reality is that politics are at work here. I suspect that when they see how many guns Nicholls sells and how many other lines get pushed harder, they will wake up. It will be interesting to see if the Swiss guns will be front center at the display booths at the LE/Mil trade shows with the 416's or will they also become unavailable due to import restrictions? ;-)

Swiss arms have merely shot themselves in the foot.

This keeps getting brought up, but please, this was NOT a Swiss Arms decision. Sauer, SAN, Blaser, SIG Sauer (ex SIGARMS) all belong to the same people. They have decided that SAN is to be marketed by Sauer.

so who should we write to? let them know that the most hated gun shop in canada is selling their product along with the competition's product ( which they push more)

I don't know, are they going to care if they don't sell 5 CQBs next year? How many people are dropping 3k on these guns a year - I can't imagine it's too many.

That being said - I can't wait for MINE to get here!!! :50cal::D

Whether TSE sells 3, 4, or 500 Swiss rifles a year is something we don't know. What I can assure you is that Nichols won't even come close to any figures currently produced by TSE. I doubt SAN even glanced at the numbers. If they had they would never have given Nichols the exclusive. As usual, sounds like some suits who "know better" and take advice from their bean counters rather than talk to the man on the ground.

they get quite a few shipments that sellout as soon as they're in. as well as a lenthy waiting list. as far as i understood there was a minimum order agreement with the supplier that was being met, so the profit must have been there.

Guys keep in mind R.Nicholls does some huge volume in other areas (Night Operatiosn gear for instance with the CF...) They have a reputation for ensuring they have the exclusive on a number of things.
I dont think they care about indivuals or dealer sales.

You cannot knock his business model - they make a huge amount of money...

Business Model = somehow conning companies to give them exclusive distributorship. Then dragging all their customers around by the nose, milking them for all they are worth. Ask the RCMP at Depot what they think of Bob and his company. a few choice words have passed between them on a number of occassions.

there i fixed your post. who cares if they sell $2billion dollars to the CF. i ain't CF. that means nothing to me. i am looking for a company that cares about something other than government money.

Well, we're all S.O.L. once R. Nichols takes over. Friggin' wankers!

Yup, spoke to Wolverine today ... they'll be carrying all 3 configs into next year.. so Swiss Arms isn't going anywhere - and I'm hoping it's coming in without importation markings!!
