Where is that photo from? I have it saved on my computer from at least 10 years ago but can’t recall where it is from.
Lets see if i can post pictures yet. I never did get an answer about what it takes to earn that privilege.
Just in case i can't, here's a direct link. It's a colt SAA made in

I have no problem with a well-worn rifle or shotgun with faded bluing and weathered finish. They are just like an older woman who was once a beautiful girl that grew into a sophisticated lady possessed with invaluable worldly experience.
What really bothers me are newer guns that look like their owner tied a string to them and dragged them though the bush for days.......
Wow! Gorgeous rifle! Nice work, 450.View attachment 388515View attachment 388514
A 1893 30-30 made in 1917 that I finally found time with Covid to restock after having the Wenig's wood lay around for 18 years.
I don’t think anyone who will pay 100k for a relic is too strapped to afford an adventure or two!
Who ever pays $70,000US for that relic needs to be strapped to a chair and given eletro-shock therapy whether they can afford it or not.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
I concur. As much as I love Model 70s and African hunting, that thing looks like a bag of hammered ####.
This is Wally Johnson's .375. It was for sale, but I can't find the listing anymore. I think the asking price was something like $70,000.

Paying for nostalgia, not the worn out rifle...
In 2019, a baseball bat used by Babe Ruth to hit his 500th career home run, sold at auction for over $1 million. Still only a $50 bat though.
I remember that old horse. Cool old rifle. If you get it, I have a stock that came on my pre-war 9.3X62 that looks almost as good. Paul may remember it. Had been restocked when he was here.
