I know nothing, I’m learning as I goWhy would have the BCG in when installing the barrel? How was the upper secured? What did you use to torque barrel but?
You do know that the BCG locks into the barrel extension, right? That’s why the barrel wouldn’t go on all the way and is what the BCG moved when you pushed the barrel in the remaining amount.
Well I can’t argue with results but that’s not normally how it’s done. A receiver block is normally used to hold the upper in the vise with no BCG. You got it on and it sounds like you were able to torque the barrel nut on so not much else to say. Hopefully you get the opportunity to shoot it in the not too distant future.I know nothing, I’m learning as I go
I built the lower, then upper, had it all assembled then installed the barrel last. That’s a bad way to do it?
I used a mag in the vise to hold everything, then used a torque wrench with an armourers wrench. Then just the armourers wrench to line up the gas tube
Did I do something wrong?
Alright, thanks! So I did it wrong but it should be okWell I can’t argue with results but that’s not normally how it’s done.
