My other half’s getting her pal finally. So I’m looking to pick up a 9mm for her to shoot. All the ones I already own are a little heavy or the grips too big. Anyone have advice.

Thanks everyone. I have a few ideas at what to look at. If it helps she does like the walther p22(bought for my daughter to shoot) I have for the grip size. She finds my Springfield xd9 grip to big. My shadow 2 to big and heavy for her(good for
Me I like it). So a full frame metal might be too heavy as the Springfield is close in weight to a shadow1. Thanks for the help I find the more things we do together the more I can spend on it.

Went to reliable to purchase a 22 rifle for my daughter and they were more then willing to let her feel a bunch of the hand guns. Turns out she a glock person. She liked the 19x the most for feel. Going to go shoot it at the range then head back to reliable to purchase.

Thanks for ur help.

Glock 48 (with Ameriglo sights) - This offering was made by Glock precisely for this type of application. I've got relatively small hands and the frame fits me to a tee.

Light weight and low bore axis will be a comfortable gun for your wife to hold and shoot.

You owe it to yourself to go with your wife to a gun shop to have a look.

Beretta PX4 is worth a try. Very slim grip and with its rotating barrel it has exceptionally little felt recoil. Regret selling mine.

I plan to take her to the range in Langley to try a few different style to find out what she likes. Just wanted so input at what to look at.

CZ P10 FS because you can place your hand high to the slide and it controls recoil better then anything else I’ve shot.

Heavy framed gun. Easy to control recoil.
My wife and her friends like the Shadow with thin grips

I have a shadow 2 it’s far too heavy for her.

My daughter shoots IPSC Production with Shadow 1, and I know a few other women running S1 (and S2 for that matter).
S1 needs thin grips (aluminium or G10) to fit smaller hands. Race hammer and pre-B disconnector improve the gun's behaviour significantly.

The weight difference between S1 and S2 is about 15%. You would be able to share magazines and many spare parts

Browning Hi-Power, small grips, add aftermarket rubber grips, good to go. Recoil is absorbed by the all-steel construction and superior geometry.
