First 1911...Maybe a Colt....?

I have arthritis and my right hand was seriously injured some years ago. I recommend Pachmayr signature grips on your 1911 if you find it hard on your hands.

Buy the Colt product and know you have the original.

And remember.....

In Jeff Cooper we trust !!

They do have a different fell to them.
I have a sig 220r 45, nice gun, but I just don't use it, having 1911's for 50 yrs, Think I will list it.
after you shoot it for a while, it will feel " right"
For yrs shooting informal bullseye , I would load light with semi wadcutters, shooting off hand, these days old joints , I am more into 2 hands.
I do shoot more 38 sp than 45 these days, and I took the comp off as it looks silly, and I don't shoot fast with 45's as a rule.
A real Colt will always hold it's value, mind you that goes for most quality guns.
enjoy it you can't have too many.

This Colt Govt 9mm that I originally bought spankin' new back in the early '90's recently came back to me after a ~ 25 yr absence....

Sweet! I had the same model in 1990. It was one of two stock competition pistols I had built with Barsto barrels, BoMar sight, SA magwell, McCormick trigger/hammer/sear (1/2 lb), checkered front strap. The other was a Combat Elite. Shoulda brought them when I moved to Canada. Miss those two.
