Benelli SuperNova 14 Inch - Flashlight Mount

Is there anyway to mount a flashlight (Surefire) to a Benelli SuperNova Tactical Pump 12 Gauge with 14" Barrel and Collapsible Stock?

Would like to buy one, but only if i can effectively mount a flashlight.

I've literally spent the last 4 days combing the web for something. GG&G won't ship to Canada, would need to try wolverine, they're the dealer. But apparently they're flimsy.

So

I'm going to try a few things.

I'm getting a +1 extension, going to try mounting a cdmgear mossberg shockwave light mount onto it,

Or

Mounting a piece of rail to the extension using the sling plate, bend it over at a 90, drill holes and bolt it on.

Then running an offset thorntail sbr scout mount facing backwards, then mounting the flashlight to that.

Maybe SJ hardware can fab up something I'm sure there's a whole pile of these things around.


If all else fails we were thinking of ziptie a scout light somehow to the FSB/extension/barrel strut. This is a farm truck/tractor gun she doesn't get love.

I'll post back when all the parts show up.
 
The Cadillac option would be a scout mount built in to the mag tube extension where the sling plate usually goes.

I'm not sure why they don't make something like that
 
I just got Streetlight 870 mount (GG&G clone) today and it might actually work on a Supernova. Got it from 911 supply in Calgary.
 
The stream light 870 mount will work. I have one on my benelli. Might need to take a tiny bit off with a dremel to fit against the barrel. 30 second job. I really like my tac-14. Enough that it makes me wonder about the M-4. And I’m not really a shotgun guy. Lol.
 
I put a little piece of Picatinny rail under the handguard, it's a pain to put it there because of the ribbing inside the handguard, but it's a nice place for it.

The supernova handguard isn't really the best shape to put a light on, and there's no room for a mag clamp.
 
Here's the first proof of concept.

CDM gear mossy 590 shockwave mount. Clearanced slightly ontop with a dremel(sanding drum). Trimmed the pump action back to fit.

Quick and dirty hack job but definitely doable.

Will be trying a streamlight scout on a thorntail mount or a G2 in a vltor offset mount, whichever gets the light in the position I like. Will also safety wire the barrel sling lug and the mount together, although it's very tight don't think it will move.

Will try it like this for a bit, need a different mount that sucks it in tighter to the gun, probably just a standard offset mount.

I have the GG&G for my nova and it is worth every penny. Not flimsy at all. I got mine from Wolverine

I have had GG&G on order from wolverine for about 6 months now and have since sold my Benelli Supernova Tactical. If and when it comes in, I'd be happy to contact them and make it yours. Send me a PM
