Hey,

I want to pick one of these up but am looking for some 'real' reviews on them. Being a 22 semi auto, I'm looking for input on their reliabilty, feeding, extracting, break in period etc. Do they prefer HV, SV or a particular brand of ammo? I know it's going to be just for fun plinking and not competition but still would like to know they are decent.

Thanks

The prefer the higher velocity stuff. Can't go wrong with CCI through them.

I have run a few thousand rounds through mine with both the supplied magazines and the drum magazine. No issues with the supplied mags. The drum is a bit finnicky at the start and at the end. No problems with extraction or feeding.

The gun is cheap feeling - made of plastic but is a lot of fun to shoot.

I would grab one if you are at all interested.

I like mine a lot, but it is extremely ammo picky. It won’t shoot hollow points reliably. The only ammo it will shoot reliably, is CCI Mini Mag, copper plated round nose, 40 grain. I’ve got the failure rate down to 1 in ~ 250 rounds. I’ve tried over 25 options, nothing else works reliably. There would be a failure or more every magazine.

Fun gun when you find ammo it likes! As you can see, some 16’s aren’t picky and others are.

I'm with STEELCITYSLICKER. It feels so cheap and plasticky, but it is fun. The included sights are junk, but I added a RDS before the first range trip. My brother has one too, and his has been flawless. So far I've used Remington Golden Bullets, Federal Black Pack and even Winchester M-22 without any hiccups. The drum mag is much pickier, but they always are...

I've been shooting Federal bulk pack HP ammo with virtually no FTF/FTE. That's with the stick mags. I've only loaded the drum up a couple of times and had a couple of FTF's with the Federal HP ammo but considering the drum is new it hasn't been too bad.

I should also add that SFRC has them for $499 but with a 15% off sale until tomorrow. So $480 all in with free shipping. Is that pricing as good as it's gonna get?

Irg has them on with the MP5 type conversion kits in Canada for $359US or something like that. Check them out if you want one. $329US in green without the kit.
I'm still fence sitting... waiting to see how durable they really are.

LOVE mine. Put a carry handle/green dot on mine for sights & a Fab Defence T-Pod G2 forgrip/bi-pod. I didn’t like the 110rd mag. Sold that in lieu for 2 more sticks. Mine shoots the 36gr hollow point Rem Golden bullets flawless. Very accurate too. Never had any issues. Always goes bang, & ejects. Funnest .22 I own. Cleaning is a little pain, but u figure it out.

ive been having some FTF issue but i think its just because i was so excited to get it i took it straight out of the box and to the range. (no oil, nothing....) 100% on me.

i put about 200 rds through it and had 2 or 3 issue.

I need to give it a good oil and take it back.

Its a load of fun, quite accurate. I have no plans on selling. I'm sure my issue is user error.

I have grown to really like mine, and don’t take the 10/22 anymore on outdoor trips. It has been 100 % reliable over thousands of rounds down range.

One thing I do not like about it though is, even with a micro red dot sight, the cheek weld isn’t great. You have to almost put your chin on the stock to see the dot properly.

You gotta get the fixed MP5 airsoft stock for it like I did. It's much better.

This gun is a blast to shoot. I have had mine for about 6 months and I have not had a problem with it. I have shot over 2000 rounds. I put a Holosun 503CU on it. Everyone who shoots it wants to get one. The down side is the disassembly process. It will take a few times to get use to it. The most important thing is not to loose the slide catch lever spring and if you do there is a quick cheap fix. I wont go into details but if you use the forum search you will locate it. IMHO its worth the price.

I was shooting thunderbolt .22 and didn’t have any issues , even with the drum although I only fired 100 rounds from the drum once . Takes to long to load ...
