Please help to identify and put a price tag, as hunting rifles are not my area or expertise. Thank you.
Bore is bright and mirror shiny, like new.
Looks like Commercial CZ Mauser in 8mm Mauser (?)

Looks like a BRNO Model 22F in really good shape. Date code is 1948 if my eyes don't deceive me. Calibre is 8x57IS. Not drilled and tapped which is good. Looks like there is a mark on the back of the cheekpiece. Bolt is in original condition.

Wow - an unaltered Brno 22f! A very, very nice gun. The bolt handle hasn't been modified, which seems harder to find. Price tag...$1500 to $1700 maybe a bit more for the right buyer.

Thank you. So "48" is the year? Bore is bright and mirror shiny, like new. There's a minor dent in wood at the rear of checkpiece.

Date code is the 2 digit code on the left side of the barrel where the barrel meets the receiver. It will also be stamped on the left side of the receiver in front of the firearm make.

Very nice rifle but I am not convinced the market will be quite as lucrative as some are suggesting. Lots to like about the rifle but being an early one (not integrated scope bases) means you either have to d/t it (reducing value) or live with iron sights if you intend to hunt it, and not nearly as many people are interested in a 8x57 vs a 7x57.

Exactly - I'm looking for a rifle just like this but in 7x57 with the square bridges. I've noticed a few lovely old Brnos on the EE with multiple btt's and reductions lately that usually would sell quickly.

Early 22F, the caliber, round receiver, and buggered screw are drawbacks. IMO it is a $1200 rifle, $2200 is dreaming.
