RONCOS in action. Team of T-6G planes trying to silence AA under cover of burning in Mata do Cantanhez, Southern Guinea. It was in this forest where I spent nine months of my commission. Cerrado, dark and of equatorial characteristics. (Photo taken from the book The Battle of Quitafine, José Nico, General Pilot Aviator, page 79, Guinea, 67/70.

Oh, my! I looked at 19910 and said, "That can't be a Portuguese Harvard dropping bombs. Harvards might have worked as fighters (in a pinch), but they were never bombers!"

Well, it was actually a Portuguese Harvard and it was actually dropping bombs.

Heck of a career change for what was supposed to be a trainer!

That landscape below looks unfriendly......

I guess you missed my post, some months ago.
Look at this:

Even have a friend who flew them during his service. Became pilot for TAP airlines until his retirement.

You're right. I did miss a bunch of pages there, driving back and forth to the cancer clinic. That little drama now seems to be over (in my favour, no less!) so now I can keep up with......

Portuguese Harvards dumping bombs on bad guys?

Much more interesting!

Thank you!
