Don’t need one if you use partner login, IE through your bank account, getting the pin takes a while as it is mailed to your house.
I logged in using a signin partner. Same way I do for CRA. The e-services pin is being asked same way i enter my name, birthday, birthplace
Over all this time i have called them several times. 2019 - April. July. Sept. Dec. and last time April 2020, which at that time they told me nothing is wrong. I am not denied. Should not be too much longer. CFO is working on it.
On August 10 i applied for a ATIPB. (access to information) asking for everything they have on my (R)PAL file.
The last 2 weeks been trying to give them another call. So far cant connect to someone. Going to keep trying.
Not sure if you have but insist you be allowed to speak to the CFO office, they will probably make an excuse that you cannot but be polite and insist. I have spoken to the CFO 2 weeks after placing my renewal.
except for when my (R)PAL first appeared online in April 2019 i have always spoken to the BC CFO office. I call the 800-731-4000 number then enter the extension for the BC CFO. Or do you mean insisting on speaking directly to the CFO that is looking at my file?
Did the course end of January got my paperwork back 1 week of March. Sent it in 2 week of March , checked the site every week to see if it was in the system but nothing came up. Got a call a call 3 weeks ago from RCMP that I forgot to fill out my height and eye color , was told it was under review by the person who called. Came home last night and the letter was in the mailbox with my new card. PAL and RPAL . LoL just realized this is my first post
Finished the PAL/RPAL combo course today. Sending off the package tomorrow (except course results until they show up), now I can wait 5+ months with you guys 
Super excited! The course was a lot of fun, our instructors were fantastic. Good luck to anyone else trying to get into a course, all of them are booked up solid to November around here even with instructors taking on as many courses as they can..

Update on my application.
Application arrived March 26th
Credit card charged July 17
Application status updated on RCMP website Aug 24; "Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date."

Sent my application early in March. Today was the first day that I have been able to see any updates in the online system.

As of this morning, license was approved and shipped.
Took forever to show up online. But once it did, license went from initial processing complete to approved in one day.
