Are you talking about a dovetail type mount?
I’ve been looking for one for the wife and the only one I have found is the Meprolight system. It is a rear sight that comes with a quick detach Meprolight red dot, so it’s not a system that allows different red dots.ya, that looks about it, so I can replace the rear sight with a red dot

It looks like a pretty cool system and the price is ok for what you get, a fibre optic sight system and a red dot. I believe Wolverine Supply carry them if you want to have a look
Do they make it for the M&P? If so I haven’t seen it yet, I would be all over that for the wifeNot true, Meprolight makes the adapter only version that you can mount most popular RDS.

Just get the slide milled.
It's expensive, and you'll take a bath when you want to sell it.
^^^ It’s definitely something to consider.Having a proper setup is priceless.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I’m running the same type of mount on a G34( a loaner from a buddy to try out) and I like it, seems to work fine. It’s not an MOS by any means but I’m not sure I want to permanently change my gun. It’s a cheaper way for the wife to try a rds on her M&PCheck freedom ventures , they list a EGW dovetail mount for the smith M&P.
I have the same type of the system on a 1911 with a burras plate, works good
But I thought we where talking cut slides to mount ?
Here is a picture, this is the type of mount mtlcruisin listed in his link, take the back sight out, insert a dovetail and screw the plat to that, tan screw the mount to the plate.
Quick and easy.

I recently had the slide milled on my Shadow with a deep cut to allow the dot to sit low. Going back and forth between my iron sighted Shadow and the dot version, is effortless. People who try the dot are amazed at the much higher accuracy compared to how they shoot with irons. They all think it’s money well spent.
Joseph Wu in Vancouver
Slavex and others referred me to him.His name come up on another post about this, sounds like the guy to go to.
I have one I am thinking about , a Jericho, but not sure the cost warrants it on that one yet, barrel is poor.
SP-01 Shadow. Pics are in another thread somewhere, with details, since the slide is narrower than the optic I used. Search my posts around mid-Aug.jimbo14, which Shadow did you have milled? I have the Sp-01 Shadow with a dovetail mounting plate and find it too high.
