Sold OUT: TYPE 81 LMG

I haven't sent an email yet regarding the mags because I was waiting for TI's response here in their forum.
I'm pretty sure they will try to make this right. A rebuild kit would be adequate as long as the end result is the same as factory original.

Cancelling whole order because of drum mag? Can't wrap my head around that one.

Wife probably got mad and they were looking for a way out haha.

I dont quite understand that. Just return/cancel the mags.... its still a T81 LMG and I am sure that if proper mags aren't available through TI in the future that AK mags can be modified to have the same effect.
 
Ahh so you bought 20 drum and 10 lmg so you can sell them 2500 on gun post? KARMA to all these guys who thought making a living on the back of honnest Canadian people, when they are forced into an increasingly restricted market never seen before. Buy your own stuff, and let others pay the right price, and get a job instead.
 
7751 got shipping confirmation at 3am was shipped out before email was sent. The good folks at ti are working hard cut them some slack.

If your wife gets mad at your unreasonable firearms purchases you have already failed, the key is to not let them know how much or what you are purchasing. Having to collect firearms at the CP depot as opposed to having home delivery has been a blessing in disguise. When the wife asks which rifle I am taking to the range i just say "the black one", no harm in the detail that there are multiple black ones now.

Yeah seems the most reasonable approach, if TI just wants to send out retrofit kits at no charge and we can scouts honor the fact we will pin them that's ideal.
 
How would the retrofit kits work though? I thought the drums were riveted and welded? I’m debating cancelling my drum order, was not expecting this quality from TI.

It might have to be done by a gunsmith or someone handy with tools and knowledge on this type of mag. But mind you to pay a decent gunsmith might be another $100-$200
 
I only ordered one Drum just to have the look. And I am going to keep it. Tactical imports is a really good company I have ordered a few firearms and accessories from them. They will figure something out so everyone just needs to relax.
