Nice collection of guns, Jim. The bar in wood hammer ejector sure catches my eye. A rare gun indeed.
Where is the Westley Richards single barrel trap gun?
Bill

Bill, I do still have the Westley Richards trap single and use it quite a lot. It needs a little more cast off for a perfect fit for me so I need to really concentrate to get the best results. I would sooner modify the gun to suit me than try to modify my hold to fit the gun but I've been dragging my feet on having a slender 100 year old stock bent to fit. Yes, the Moore & Grey hammer ejector is a very rare bird and a beautiful gun, easily equal to or better in quality than any gun that I have or have had. Londonshooter has been trying to pry it loose from me for some time.

Nice collection Brybenn, the case coloring on the o/u is exquisite!
I've been known to take a 410 sxs with double triggers to a few shoots. Other shooters look at you with a mixture of admiration, envy, encouragement and pity! :)

Shot 69/75 last time i had the lil 410 on the skeet field. I bought it for my daughter so i want to keep it as mint as possible and havent been using it much. 3 rounds of 23 cant complain though. Im sure it will 25 some time

Bryon, that's a beauty! And you're a heck of a shot so running the course is likely to happen soon if your daughter keeps letting you borrow it.
Jim, you have some real gems. Enough said there....
Bill, I'm enjoying this one very much:

John: you have a real gem---made in 1929 with nitro proved steel barrels. This gun has found the right home.

1881 Westley Richards Boxlock Non Ejector

I'm posting this very nice Westley Richards which I owned for many years before finding it a new home. I recall Ashcroft has a similar one. This one is serial number 13528 made in 1881. The barrels are damascus which were nitro proved about 15 years ago.

For me, the case is almost as appealing as the gun. I really like to find guns complete with their original case and accessories. And an oak and leather case is as good as it gets. Hard to find but all the more rewarding when you do find it.

Bill, I came across a case at auction that Ashcroft identified as a Richards best quality boxlock case exactly as you have shown however no labels although these are available in reprint. I've been waiting for the correct gun to come up for sale that is appropriate to the case.

Thanks buddy. Sierra is only a lil more than 2.5 years old so i got some time to break in her sxs 410. She will start with the 9mm smoothbore first anyway. That is if i can keep her away from my a400s. She gets super excited when she sees those green cases

It is hard to turn down a good vintage case. Then you have to find that perfect gun that needs a case. Collecting is such fun. But, parting with treasures doesn't come easy.

This gun is a Westley Richards 410 ejector. It was customized by the previous owner including restocking with a beavertail forend and a Miller single trigger. It has all the signs of the perfect grouse and woodcock gun. It too has found a new home.

Henry Adkin and Sons, 57 Highstreet Bedford. Gun is in nice condition with Rigby style dipped edge sidelocks and has nitro proofs. Lever cocking, Gibbs & Pitt patent 4170

Great wood with a perfect layout using the wood grain for strength. That's a very nice Osbourne, I hope the owner puts it to use occasionally, it will be a dandy. And Oberndorf's Adkin is stunning, as good as or better than my original George Gibbs best quality gun with the same action. I come across these actions with many maker's names, it seems these were very popular with many makers including some of the most prestigeous ones. I really like the easy open/easy close feature of this action.
Oberndorf I really envy your photography technique, it really makes the engraving pop.
