Antlered Doe

Yes, you can shoot her, with a standard tag. The ministry considers it a buck, as it has antlers, and, walking through the bush towards you, in season, no way you could tell it from a buck..
Well , I questioned it's gender two weeks ago when we noticed it was still in vevet . couldn't get a close look at it from 300 yds. off, even using a spotting scope and/or 10 power binocs .
I certainly wouldn't waste my buck tag on her, but would use up my doe tag(extra) if allowed and if she didn't have twin fawns .
She sure is a cautious animal , always scanning and for longer durations than the other does around her .

In Quebec it's 7cm antlers or more, and you're supposed to keep the ###ual organs attached until you register the critter. From the regs "Any bagged white-tailed deer must be transported to the registration area either whole or in at the most two near-equal portions separated transversally along the floating ribs or kidneys (see diagram below). Moreover, when the deer is separated into two portions, the hunter must present the two parts without the head and external genitals (scrotum or vulva) having been detached from one of these portions"

ya we got a cow up about the 58 marker....but the sighting were slim this year

Good for you .
In one week of bow hunting we only called out 3 bulls...6-7 years ago we called out 17 in one day .
I think the black bears are killing alot of calves .
