Numrich gunparts has them

$6.25 USD

Bullet dia is not the same as 6.5x55 swedish (.264")

Carcano bullet dia is (0.267")

Make sure the ammo you buy is the proper dia bullet or you get the inacuacy stories that circulate around about the carcanos. They are simple but very accurate.

Bought one of Corwin's carcano TS carbine and it's in decent condition, a fair bit of light dings and scratches, a bit of pitting under the wood but other than that everything else is pretty good, especially considering it's a 400$ rifle in full military configuration that's not a mosin.

$6 is a great price, even if it is USD. I may just need to pick up a Carcano now...

Only problem, is Numrich is out of stock, and has been for months. While I cannot say from experience, I had read single loading with out the clip may cause extractor breakage......another difficult to find part. Of course, it is "out of stock" there as well.

Perhaps Carcano experts will dispute this, and I will be glad to stand corrected.

Great I will definately NOT use the Swedish ammo. Great to know! Not much info around [ yes utube but many videos are annoying ] I did trade 20 rds of Nagant ammo for a brass clip a range buddy had. Corwin said they have some arriving in a few weeks tho.Martin says [ reasonabely priced ].

Hi I have not shot it yet as ammo is a bit hard to find . I think that Halifax Army Navy Surplus may have some tho. They stock obscure surplus ammo.I have x1 clip now and Corwin has some on the way.

I have one coming in as well, ordered from Marstar (I would have liked one of the early M91 TS carbines with sideways locking bayonet that Corwin had but they sold out quicker than I could see them). Paid a extra 25$ for hand select with Pre-WWI, or WWI being preferred and if that wasn't available best condition possible. Also ordered some ammo with it because I don't feel like figuring out where all my Carcano reloading supplies are as I sold my last one off a while ago. Fortunately I still have all the clips and such.

The one I saw at the range last Saturday was a real piece of art, highest degree of Italian workmanship.
Fit and finish was over the top, nearly as good as a last ditch mosin.
