So I have been eyeing a Sig P320 RX for some time now as it seemed like the easiest way into the optics pistol market but I have been hesitant to try another Polymer, striker fired gun to be yet disappointed again. Any ways, a friend of mine had told me his unit had recently been issued Sig P320 RX's with Delta Points for testing and couldn't stop raving about it. He stated he liked it much more than the issued P226. So when I saw one available I took the plunge. I received my 320 with 5 mags and the Romeo 1. I have shot the p320 in the past and thought it was pretty neat but at the time I saw the pistol mounted optic as a passing fad. Well it looks like the future is now and its here to stay. My example came with a Small grip module which fit my had very nicely but left something to be desired. Then I saw Garand Thumb's review of the WCP320. As soon as I finished watching the review I ordered the WCP320C grip module from Brownell's. Well it finally arrived this morning and wow. I don't think I have ever had a pistol that fit my hand so well and points so naturally.
I think that the way Sig went with the removable, serialized FCU was an absolute game changer. Forget the interchangeable back straps and Hogue grips to get the perfect fit. Don't like the grip? Get a new grip module. Don't like the polymer frame? Get an aluminum one.
I haven't had it to the range yet but I will be hitting the range this week and I will update this with my range report. But in the mean time, I would like to hear others impressions of the P320 and see how people have made them their own.
I have mine in a Wilson Combat 320 Carry module (short dust cover) with a TLR1 and a Trex Arms Ragnorok with QLS. I wanted a Safarilad but ####, the wait time is too long and I require instant gratification. I plan on getting a flat trigger, either the Sig or the Apex but I can't decide if its worth getting the entire Apex trigger kit.
