So I have been eyeing a Sig P320 RX for some time now as it seemed like the easiest way into the optics pistol market but I have been hesitant to try another Polymer, striker fired gun to be yet disappointed again. Any ways, a friend of mine had told me his unit had recently been issued Sig P320 RX's with Delta Points for testing and couldn't stop raving about it. He stated he liked it much more than the issued P226. So when I saw one available I took the plunge. I received my 320 with 5 mags and the Romeo 1. I have shot the p320 in the past and thought it was pretty neat but at the time I saw the pistol mounted optic as a passing fad. Well it looks like the future is now and its here to stay. My example came with a Small grip module which fit my had very nicely but left something to be desired. Then I saw Garand Thumb's review of the WCP320. As soon as I finished watching the review I ordered the WCP320C grip module from Brownell's. Well it finally arrived this morning and wow. I don't think I have ever had a pistol that fit my hand so well and points so naturally.

I think that the way Sig went with the removable, serialized FCU was an absolute game changer. Forget the interchangeable back straps and Hogue grips to get the perfect fit. Don't like the grip? Get a new grip module. Don't like the polymer frame? Get an aluminum one.
I haven't had it to the range yet but I will be hitting the range this week and I will update this with my range report. But in the mean time, I would like to hear others impressions of the P320 and see how people have made them their own.

I have mine in a Wilson Combat 320 Carry module (short dust cover) with a TLR1 and a Trex Arms Ragnorok with QLS. I wanted a Safarilad but ####, the wait time is too long and I require instant gratification. I plan on getting a flat trigger, either the Sig or the Apex but I can't decide if its worth getting the entire Apex trigger kit.

That's a really nice setup. I bought a first gen P320 since I was getting a little bored with my Gen4 G17. I added Dawson Precision sights to mine and aside from doing some slight polishing, I left the gun pretty much stock. It ran like a champ. I eventually added a full size X series grip, which I did enjoy although I found I had to do a little reprofiling to address some chafing on my thumb. I did the voluntary upgrade on the trigger system from MDC and eventually added a Grey Guns PELT trigger, the first time I've ever done an aftermarket trigger on any gun I've owned. It made a noticeable improvement and I was very happy with the package, shooting it regularly and having lots of fun at local steel matches.

I do wish I had waited for the P320 RX version. I ended up selling my 320 to fund another project but I think I'll be picking up a 320 RX in the future. And it'll probably look very similar to yours.

Oh, and Pirate604 - I found that if you use the "S&W" marked rail key in your TLR, you can actually scoot the light back closer to your trigger guard and it'll sit flush with the front of the slide.

Thanks for the tip on the S&W rail key, I'll be sure to try that out.
One thing I have also come to enjoy about the 320 is that the trigger doesn't have some integrated safety like the Glock and most other PFSF pistols out there. I only really noticed it the other day but I really like that fact.

I always found the stock trigger (pre and post-upgrade) to be quite good. I shot it better than my polished Glock trigger with minus connector. Once the GG Pelt was installed though, it was a nice improvement for the $60 I spent on it from another CGN member. I liked that I didn't have to spend ludicrous amounts of money for an upgraded trigger as some do with Glocks.

And you're right about having a one-piece trigger - it feels a lot better than a tabbed or two-piece safety trigger. I never did like the M&P's trigger for that reason.

I purchased a Sig P250 years ago and liked it very much, sadly I sold it (as I routinely do and then regret it later). I was impressed with the quality of the Sig, so when I saw the M17, I immediately bought it. Then, a buddy of mine acquired the P320 X5 Legion and after I shot that, I had to have one as well. The grip module of the Legion compared to the M17 was so much better in my hand so I went about getting a Legion grip module and swapped it out as well as adding the Apex flat face trigger and since I already had a Vortex, added that to the M17 using a Springer Precision mount. The M17 is now called my FrankenLegion. I like shooting both Sigs, the added weight of the tungsten infused grip module allow me to shoot fast and very accurate.

I was have finally had this blaster to the range a few times and I am pretty happy with the results. Over the course of two trips I was able to put close to 1k rounds through my P320. The ammo used was a combination of Barnaul 115gr steel case, Winchester 115gr, and most of it being Remington 124gr. I had no malfunctions of any sorts, and no issues with the slide locking back on any of the five mags used.

I have to say I was very impressed with the performance of this pistol. The only modifications the gun has is the Wilson Combat grip module which is quite an improvement over the original. The higher tang and trigger guard under cut make for a very nice grip, almost like a 1911. This gun fits me better than any other I have had in the past.

My first few rounds were with the irons only and I was able to print very solid groups at 5m, 10m, and 15m with no issues. I then switched to the Red dot and was able to print some out standing groups at the same distances.
My only prior experience with the P320 and pistol mounted optics was brief and I really didn't get a chance to really get into it. Using the Red dot is certainly challenging when getting started, especially on the draw. I did practice my draw quite a bit before hitting the range to really get it dialed and so I'm not searching for the dot. I found the easiest way to do this was to make a regular sight picture using the irons on the draw, this way the dot is right over the sight. Practice makes perfect I guess. The pistol shoots very flat and requiring a sight picture is a breeze.
I spent most of my time shooting at 5 and 10 M. I did take some pics of my targets for show and tell.

I would like to see a tighter group at 15M. I find the dot moves quite a bit more at that range. Something I will need to work on.

Overall I am very pleased with this gun. I like shooting it more than my Glock, I would go so far as to say that I am a convert. The stock trigger is quite amazing and the reset is excellent. I will say that I am seriously eyeing the flat trigger kit from apex but the stock trigger is plenty good.

For those who are in the market for a new PFSF pistol, the P320 is a serious must as a contender. And it's modularity and customizability is second to none. Like the AR15 of handguns.

I would love to hear some other impressions and range reports.

I shot someone else's P320. I'd consider buying an optics ready model for the right price. I have large hands and the grip feels nice, with a back strap and beavertail reminiscent of the CZ-75 series but less glove-like. I thought the trigger and reset was worse than the Glock 48. I have shot a G17 G4 before and it wasn't nearly as good as the best Glock triggers. The lack of safety shoe is interesting, it seems to be compensated for by a long trigger travel. Has anyone measured the trigger travel and reset, and compared it to something like a G34 G5 or G48?
