So
I’ve got this Browning gold
Chambered in 3 1/2 inch
I really like this model
It fits me perfectly
So I was having issues with it not cycling
So I ordered a new action spring
Found out the one that was in it was 1 1/2 inch shorter than the new one
Well that cured the issue for a while
But now once it’s colder it still has no issues with 3 inch ammunition
But it will not cycle the 3 1/2 it won’t close up to fire them
It’s not every time
But about every second or 3rd round
I bought a new for arm o ring at the same time but it seems to be to tight and I can’t slide the forearm
over it
I’m hoping this is the issue thinking maybe I got one from western gun part for a 20 gauge
I ordered two more from western gun parts and talked to them about it
They told me they checked their bin
In case some got mixed up but assured me that wasn’t the case
Comparing the old o ring to the the new one the new one is definitely smaller diameter then the old one
Once the new one’s arrive
I’m going to try one hopefully that’s my issue
If it isn’t
What else could it be ??
Or are these fair weather guns only ??
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I am a fanatic about how clean I keep my chamber and action
So I know it’s not a cleaning issue either
Thanks in advance
