Because hunters don’t spend money like target and precision long range shooters do.
50 pieces of .270 would last 3 lifetimes in my rifles. I’ll order 200 pieces of 6.5 prc and question if that’s even enough...

Yes, 7mm would be great! But will definitely look at getting some 300.

That's a reasonable explanation but they do offer stuff that would be considered more of a hunting cartridge today such as .30/06 and .243 win

This isn’t true. Well maybe for the 270. But whomever is making that for them is also selling it in their packaging as well.

Our business connection at Lapua prefers not to mention new product until an exact manufacturing date is known, however the marketing/PR guys wanted to get this great information out and we'll post as soon as we know a Canadian delivery date.

Of course we'll have a substantial order in as soon as they will accept them.

Regarding .270 Win, we checked our inventory system which goes back 15 years and there isn't any record of this cartridge case, so it's been + 15 years since there has been Lapua-branded brass in .270 Win.

Another casing they should consider is 280 Ackley Improved, I have emailed them numerous times requesting the 280AI.

No it isn’t weird. The 284 and it’s variants are what F-Class shoot. They buy a ton of brass.

284 is a popular cartridge for long range precision shooting, 7mm Rem Mag not so much

IMO they should add a few of the short mag cartridges, ei 7mm saum and 300 wsm....

I tend to choose calibers for new builds off of what Lapua offers.. went out on a limb and started picking up parts for two 6.5 PRC's.. this is great news!

Will also likely do a .284 for hunting, cause why not? Will go good with the 6.5-.284 currently in the works.

They do, its just that it says 30-06 on the head stamp.
