App received June 2 2020
CC charged Sept 18 2020

I phoned CFP today and they said it is at Chief Firearms Office (it has been there for 2 weeks now).

Does anyone know how long the CFO is taking to approve applications?

How long does it take once they approve for license to arrive?

Hahaha. The BC CFO has had mine since December 15th of 2019. Still waiting. Been calling them every 30 days and they just tell me they're backlogged. Don't count on CFO's to do their jobs

Mine took 2 weeks from cc charged (Oct 15) to approved/issued (Oct 29) and 8 days for license to arrive (Nov 6). BC resident. Now waiting for Black Friday sale.

Received by RCMP on July 23
Approved on November 9th

I called and they gave me my number already and said it will be mailed out on November 10th. Does anyone know how long it takes after they mail it out? I was told they only mail it out every Friday but as mentioned, they claimed to be mailing mine out on Nov 10th. Also, would I be able to purchase a non-restricted online? Assuming the card comes before the the firearm or should I just be patient and wait?

Standard Pal QC
Application received on 3/25, covid delay, CC charged on July 17th
I called them in August for a time idea and they were working on it. Called them back in October and the delay was my fault, I didn't send the proper double side picture of my course card so they sent me a mail form at the beginning of Nov and I shipped it back with xpresspost and it was approved last week. Waiting for the card in the mail now.
Polite and cool all through, unfortunately they are short-staffed and the gentlemen on the phone told me it wasn't easy.
You're probably looking for a 3-4 months wait if your record is clear

Update:

BC Resident
CC charged Sept 18, 2020
Card issued today (I’m assuming it’ll be here next week) 🤞🏻

Now I check the mailbox everyday until it gets here!

Side note:

I wrote a letter to my MP (regarding the unacceptable backlogs and inefficiency at the CFP) and she had me fill out a sheet to inquire on my behalf. She phoned the BC CFO today and they immediately finalized my application.
