Hey gents, would anything on paper suggest the kimber montana 7-08 barrels would prefer the heavier projectiles by any chance?
since shooting a few 162s thru mine, an previously only shooting about 2 boxes of 150gr blue box Federals initially, ive only ever shot 120gr ,139gr and 140gr projectiles and in all the development ive never seen a group as the intial 162 load showed potential to be a moa load, most have hovered around 1.3-1.5 inch and im normally happy.. 2+ and its back to drawing boards..
has anyone else had the heavier projectiles favoured in their kimbers?
or may it just be a good stroke of luck on the powder and projectile combined with speed to equal accuracy as a whole?
keen to know as i sort of just started thinking that perhaps the accuracy side of this gun is in the heavy spectrum... (162sst) and Varget doing a good job?... and i rekon with seating depth alterations it could be a good decent load, an i wouldnt see a reason to own the 7 rem mag to be honest, for 500m with the Tactical Vortex on Kimber...seems legit?
