I have a pair of rifles, chambered in 358 Norma Magnum. Recently I acquired two boxes of 310gr Woodleigh Weldcore RN SN bullets. Anyone have any load data they'd like to share??

Your rifles might be unusual? Had read repeatedly that the very slow twist rate in 358's tended to peter out about 250 grain bullet length? Woodleigh Weldcore are very good bullets, I think, but need to be stabilized like any other bullet - are you okay with those bullet length to your barrel's twist rate??

If the twist rate is 1:14 or faster it should do ok.

To be truthful, not really sure. I'm pretty well set up for use of 200gr, 225gr and 250gr applications. Just thought I'd give these 310gr Woodleighs a try, if I can find some appropriate load data. Any suggestions? Down the road, I may have to see if I can pick up one of their manuals as I also have some of their 215gr bullets for the 303 British calibre.

Have not loaded for 358 Norma Mag. So would have to rely on Quickload, etc. as above. I am interested in what I read about twist rate though. I see folks discussing topic as if it about weight, but everything that I read says it is about length. Had shown previously that 7mm Hornady 175 grain is shorter than a 150 grain Partition. Here is a Hornady 174 grain flat base .312" bullet compared to a Woodleigh 174 grain flat base .312" bullet. The Woodleigh is .100" longer - 1.106" versus 1.007". I am still trying to understand if that difference in length is significant or not.

:)Thanks guy. Appreciate the input. There's a trip to see my buddy in Terrace once this  COVID-19 situation calms down a little. I'll see if I can stop in at the store for a chat and component purchase on my way through. Thanks again. Best of the season to you & yours. Good shooting, stay safe and healthy.

Not an issue for me with the 303Br. or most other calibres. In this 358NM question, and going with a not commonly known bullet weight, my primary or initial 'question' is to do with the powder charge.
