Jeez Chris, somehow I missed the Damascus the first time I looked at this post. Beautiful work even if the sunlight wasn’t helping.

Just updating the Christmas picture. The family has grown a bit since my last post.

Top to bottom;

Ugartechea Maura - 28 ga - 28" - hand engraved - POW grip - articulated front trigger. Only 2 of these brought into North America in 28 ga. Not sure where the other one is.

Beretta 686 SP1 - 28 ga - 28" - Nice wood for an SP1 - This is to be my rainy day, try to wear it out (Ha!) gun.

Beretta 687 SP5 - 28 ga - 28" - CCH - and the nicest wood I've ever held. Watch the obits - the only way you'll get a chance at this one. ;)

Beretta 687 Diamond Pigeon EELL - 28 ga - 28" - Everyone needs (at least one) EELL. Thinking maybe a trip to Jim Greenwood for this one.

That's the 28 branch of the family - for now. Hurts a bit to put them back in the safe.

First time I have shared this on any forum

Hope somebody appreciates it.
It is used regularly every season on the driven game scene
Original owner is somebody I admire very much

Claudio chao

Gun belonged to Danielle perazzi - the old man himself

It was made for him by Fabbri his business partner literally on a manual lathe by hand.

I bought it from an old boy in Brescia as part of a collection.

I knew Daniellle well through my coach since I shoot trap and was a sponsor factory shooter for 5 seasons.

When he saw the gun I can see tears from his eyes

He told me he sold the gun in order to pay salary for the boys during the early and DARKEST days of the factory

If you look closely there is a dent in the butt on the left hand side, he said it was him dropping it after slipping into a ravine going after woodcock -

We had a wonderful dinner together at the cave. Sadly he is now in trap heaven with many similar friends.

If you really wanted to know this is the prototype for the subsequent DHO model. A true sidelock.

I also went to visit fabbri with this gun.

Anyway glad to share.

I also belong to many other forum before I moved to Canada and was taking a piss with a few friend hence “Kim Jong il”

It is definitely not a gun closet queen. It has seen action in many estates and countries over the years.

Hi, my original thought was that it was an early Fabbri...only saw one before in the us, was at the southern SxS when a guy brought it to show my old recently departed friend Steve Barnett.
I knew Ivo and Daniele collaborated in the early days and made some fabulous pieces...yours one of them of course
So like I said...I do appreciate it

Thank you

Yes

I have a few fabbris as well

It has his hallmarks everywhere

This was 1968 before they split up to start his own venture.

I was told Mattarelli had a hand in the barrels since he was part of the factory and it was hand drawn.

You would know about MAP steel then ...? This has MAP hallmark from Brescia proof house

Amazingly it functions very well on 24 grams

As you know most shooters in Brescia will have a day job with an Armeri somewhere doing something ....

Either that or they are a “TREE POLICE’

You will know what that means - Corpo forestale dello Stato

All the current top trap shooters are part time tree police.

That’s one way to hunt plenty of Cinghiales for free.

Very nice Claudio

Still in proof ?

Are you a dealer or collector ?

If you need any work done on English guns I have access to a lot of UNNAMED workshops in Birmingham and London
